As I mentioned on another board. Marc Methot. 6'3, 230 lbs. Left handed. Steady. His value will be down because his back is a little iffy. Sens are terrible. They will throw the towel in soon. I figure J. Moore and Lindberg should easily get it done. However, they have to take Glass as part of the deal. Honestly, he would be an upgrade for them on their 4th line with the losers they use and they have a ton of cap space. Methot is a UFA next year. It's perfect security against Staal. If Staal is greedy, they can sign Methot, bring in Skjei and part ways with Staal. Methot will be a great asset against big forwards in the playoffs.

I'd still see what the Kings would want for King. However, as I said before, you could probably get Booth for nothing at this point. His speed actually fits this team. He would be a good extra for some depth.

STOP TRYING TO PAWN GLASS OFF ON EVERYONE. You don't get it do you. If we include Glass that is a negative for the other team. I'll give you an example.

If the trade was a 1st round pick for player X. If we come back and say we want to give you Glass and a 1st round pick, the other team will say add in a 3rd also if you want us to take Glass.

That's how it will work dump. No one wants his AWFUL 3 year deal. As I said yesterday, he is not untradeable, but it will cost us more to trade him since some team would have to take his awful contract.

I haven't seen one trade offer from you that didn't include Glass. And the best part is you are actually trying to spin how Glass would be good for them...PLEASE STOP DUMP.

With that said, if I was Sather I would be trying to trade Glass to every team in the league. I would take anything back. A 60th round pick. A pile of pucks. Anything but an equally bad contract. It only takes one team, so I am with you on that front dump.

Let me ask you a question, if I said dman OR big forward to complete the top 9...which would you rather have dump? For me it is the forward by a mile, but I'm curious of your opinion.

Skeji is not playing for the team next year. He's still at Minn. Stop overrating prospects Dump. You said it yourself that Hank is 33. It's time to win now. They need to find a way to get Staal back. The defense is fine. They need to add a forward at the deadline

Comical right Lundy. Dump is dump we all know that. Glass sucks, Glass sucks. Hey let's trade Glass and a pick for some other teams good player...LOL. For years dump has posted ridiculous trades on the board that NEVER happen. Then when you call him on it he get childish, calls you names, and says you know nothing.

That is why I love dump though. If you notice I don't get into with him, because he amuses me and always had....

We suck and all our players suck. Get ready for that if we lose a game. But that's our dump. I love him on the board.

Of course we need a forward more strud, but dump is hung up on our 6th dman. In his defense 98% of the teams in the NHL have all-star 6th dmen, so we need to try and keep up...LOL.

Kostka is awful, he makes Hunwick look like Leetch. Maybe if Moore got his act together we wouldn't even have to talk about it, he looks a little better lately.

moore is fine as a 6th D. Yes an upgrade would be good but this team is strapped for cap space. Let's see what Sather pulls off. Arguably they don't even need forwards.... They are 3rd in goals right now

They are 3rd in scoring, but almost all of it comes from two lines. That is an issue in the playoffs. Look at the 3rd line: Hags 8 goals, Hayes 5 goals, Fast 3 goals. That is not good enough. If you bump Miller up he has 5 goals, but can you really count on Miller and/or Fast in the top 9 in the playoffs for the first time? That is a huge question mark.

I would feel much better if we added a top 9 forward to play with Hayes and Hags. Then we would have Fast and Miller in the 4th line mix, and Miller would be a good extra forward to bump into the top 9 here and there if need be in the playoffs. Much deeper team, and better team, and harder to beat team if we add a top 9 forward at the DL.

Miller and Fast played last year in the playoffs so they got their feet wet already. I also don't mind Stempniak on the fourth line. He can be a good role player in the playoffs. With this winning streak, I have a feeling Sather wont do anything major with cap being tight but that depends if Miller and Fast continue to play well. If they do then he wont do crap like in 2011-12 season.

They were bit players. Miller played in 4 games and Fast 3 games, doesn't mean much when you are the 12th forward. As is right now one (if not both) will be a very important 3rd line guy. I don't love that pressure on them.

Just look at the numbers, we score goals, but it is mostly the 1st two lines. Depth is HUGE in the playoffs if you want to get on a long run. I truly believe if we want to win a cup we need to add another solid forward. I don't want to 100% have to rely on Miller and/or Fast in the top 9 in the playoffs.

I also like Stemp on the 4th line. I have no issue with him there. With Moore, Stemp, and a combo of Miller and Fast I would love our 4th line options. And that is exactly what we'd have if we added a top 9 forward at the DL.

And BTW...I disagree with you. I think Sather will do something at the trade DL for sure. Now I have been wrong about that before, when he made one of his worst decisions as a GM and did nothing at the DL in 2012, so who knows what he will do...or not do.

you know who we would be a amazing fit Jerome Iginla, Tough gritty player would fit perfect, unfortanteley he signed a deal with a colorado for some ridiculous money,

the player would need to have some playoff experience, so how about Jagr, how ironic would it be for him to fit here to end his career, It would be a upgrade lol , i dont know who else is out there

Wrong as usual SaveLundy. I don't tell people what to do in trades. Honestly, 99% of Rangers fans are complete morons when valuing our own players. They always think they are worthless and can never be traded. The last time I ever listened to Rangers fans about not being to deal a player was Gomez and he brought back McDonagh. That basically tells you they can easily move Glass. It was said in the Dallas game that Dallas basically wanted him badly in the off-season. Rangers fans talk in absolute with trades. No way they would do that! No way they would take him! Gimme an f'n break. Nobody on this board including me knows jack about who can't be moved. Basically, the only players in the league that probably can't and we don't know for sure, are bad players with big contracts. Glass makes only 1.5 million.

100% Glass can be moved, no doubt to me. His contract isn't huge cap hit wise. My only point is don't sell it as this positive and how the other team is gaining this wonderful player, that is BS and everyone knows it. But of course he can be traded, his contract is bad, but not a disaster with a 1.5 mill cap hit only.
