Also, continuing my investigation into agents this summer....

Blake has the same agent as CJ.

So, a little "CJ max extension" goodwill helps us trade for Blake and keep him for 5 years as well?

Neil is #1 among GMs in pandering to agents. He himself would admit the importance of staying in good terms with those guys.

For various reasons I've always liked John Henson and thought he would be a good fit for our team. Unfortunately he wouldn't bring a whole lot more at the 4 and 5 than we already have have.....so let the damn cake bake.

If Utah is below .500 at the deadline, they may be open to trading Hayward. They have Burks who is a starting caliber SG and Rodney Hood who's shown big time flashes and would be their everyday SF. Two Future 1sts along with Leonard and someone else (Vonleh/Plumlee?) might be able to get the job done. Might have to give up a little more

Lillard / Turner
McCollum / Crabbe
Hayward / Harkless
Aminu / Davis
Ezeli / Plumlee or Vonleh

I don't think Plums/Vonleh would be enough to get it done. They don't need a center because they've got Gobert, and they have Favors at PF, who is only 25. The Jazz need a go-to-guy. If they make a trade, it will be to acquire a guy like CJ.

Our future 1sts could likely be in 20-30 range so usually not worth that much. I don't think Vonleh has much value, Leonard and Harkless are fine I guess but again nothing special. Cousins is a star, and he'd fit in. Expensive but why not. I really doubt we'd get him for that package.

I was pretty busy today (I was out helping a trapper try to capture a problem coyote) and only skimmed over RC2. I skipped over this thread all day because I thought it said Trade Whitsitt and thought it was a zombie bump.
Haha. Me too. EVERY time I see this thread I see "Trade Whitsitt". I was going to post about it, but didn't. Until you brought it up. ;)

Crabbe/Plums/Vonleh/2 Fists for Cousins/McLemore. Consolidates some of our young guys, give us another legit superstar player, and another young SG that Stotts can mold.

Dame
CJ/McLeMore/Patty
Turner/Harkless/Layman
Aminu/Davis
Cousins/Ezeli/Leonard

PA's fists or NO's?

This is going to sound dumb, but I wonder how cheap Bosh would be if he somehow magically got cleared and didn't have anymore problems?

I think he needs to be real cheap. Anyone would take a chance on him if he was cleared, but not if they had to give up much. Too risky to trade a good player for him. For the Blazers it might be too close to home considering the Jerome Kersey tragedy is still fresh in our minds. .

The Jazz wouldn't be able to get a guy like CJ for an expiring Hayward. They need depth in the frontcourt.

They have Lyles... who looked A LOT better than Vonleh.
Then trade Harkless. I'm not saying we have to trade them specifically... I'm just tossing out possible names.

Kevin Love's hometown is Santa Monica, CA.

He is not an Oregonian.
Ask people around you. Most of them nowadays are no longer oregon lifers. So many damn californians.

Personally, though, id consider him an oregonian because he pretty much grew up in oregon during his childhood.

Not me. I'm a native. Born and raised. Screw California. They can keep their residents and their high housing prices. Stan Love is a real piece of work too.

While in all my dealings with Kevin, he has been a class act, Oregonian is not a title I would bestow upon him.

I was born in the Alsea Mountains (Central Coastal range) without a doctor. My parents moved to Cali from when I was 6 months - 3 years. Then Moved to Portland until I was 9. Then I moved up to Seattle until Highschool. after Highschool I moved to CO and then NY.

Am I a native Oregonian?

Silly question. You're born in oregon.

John McCain is a Panamanian through and through. Lol.

May seem silly but believe it or not, I had someone just last week tell me Im not a native Portlander... not Oregon, but still I was like... huh? Dude I know rthe town like the back of my hand. He has been here for 5 years. I laughed my ass off at him. :)

I would consider Kevin Love a native.

Off the top of my head, Milsap seems to be a great fit. Something to say about chemistry though

He grew up in Oregon...he's Oregonian..spent almost his entire childhood here...people just got pissed at him because he didn't play for the Ducks after High School. He's the record holder for all Oregon's history in scoring at the high school level. My son moved here from overseas in second grade...grew up here, went to OSU and lives and works in Eugene...he's a local in my view.
