Ok. Good points.Millsap will be a UFA next summer. Bad ju ju. Plus he'll be 32. Not exactly someone you want to max out.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=h3xyvbk what the hell, throw in a pick!Is there a way to get Nerlens Noel without giving up CJ?
Well I didn't necessarily mean is it literally possible. More like, can we put together a package that they would accept without CJhttp://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=h3xyvbk what the hell, throw in a pick!
I think they would accept a deal that doesn't involve CJ. CJ for Noel would be too high a price anyway. I could see them giving him for far less, especially as he's about to hit free agency next year and will definitely get paid. If Embiid recovers and does well they will have no reason to keep all three of Embiid, Okafor and Noel and if they could get a decent shooter (Crabbe, Leonard) or a good, solid small forward on a friendly contract (Aminu, Harkless) they would definitely consider it. They couldn't even get a pick for either Noel or Okafor from Boston this year so they must realize that their price is not exactly sky high at present.Well I didn't necessarily mean is it literally possible. Nerlens has been históric on defense so far in his career. He would help us a ton and he's still raw on offense but he's only like 22?I think they would accept a deal that doesn't involve CJ. Then again I see Ezeli as our Noel. He's also good defensively and not much offensive threat aside from the odd dunk. Why pay $15M+ for Noel who won't provide us with much extra? Then again his defense is probably a bit ahead of Ezeli, especially outside the rim.
Does the accent mean something I don't know? Because I haven't seen any stats that make him look particularly good. He gets blocks and steals, true, but they're not great indicators.Nerlens has been históric on defense so far in his career. Depends on how far below the salary cap the Sixers are.Does the accent mean something I don't know? Because I haven't seen any stats that make him look particularly good. He gets blocks and steals, true, but they're not great indicators.
I think Crabbe for Noel would be perfectly fair, except that Crabbe's new contract makes that pretty hard to pull off.

Of course, the front line probably isn't where we want to add players. Consolidate, sure, but not add.
