That would be pretty crazy, though I like Nate's Ayton deal. Swap that in in place of your Chicago deal, and we'd have quite the rebuild.Alright, got real stupid with it! Get paid to take on Lavine, hopefully "rehab" his value, let him gun from the 2nd unit, and move him with less time on his deal next offseason. Bulls take a flyer on a young entering his prime Ayton over Vuc, while dumping Lavine on us. We get our pick back and their 27 pick. Magic move Anthony and 2 1sts for Simons. Am unsure on their space after KCP, so smaller filler can be added if needed. We get a prospect in Howard, and their and Denvers 25 picks. Lakers get Grant to make Lebron happy(if it's possible, depending on their salary issues) for Knecht, and their 29 pick.
Future draft for us:
25 PDX
25 Denver
25 Orlando
26 PDX
27 PDX
27 Chicago
28 PDX(swap with Mil.)
29 LAL
29 Best and worst of PDX, Mil, Boston
2030 PDX (swap with Mil.)
Scoot/Anthony/Blanton
Sharpe/Lavine/Thybulle
Camara/Knecht/Rupert
Advija/Walker/Murray
Vuc/Clingan/RWIII/Reath
Look to then move Thybulle, and RWIII or Reath.

In a heartbeat.
I like the idea of Keegan getting in foul trouble, and switching jerseys with Kris. He's got 11 fouls to work with!Listen, I'm not in favor of trading Ayton right now unless the offer is insane..... but I would do this. Not sure if Sac is willing to part with Keegan for BI.

Based on cronin press conference, we are not looking to move deandre, but if there is a no-brainer offer, no one should be untouchable3 team deal where Ingram goes elsewhere. Although I question whether we'd actually look to move Ayton.
I could really get behind a lineup of
Scoot
Sharpe
Murray
Avdija
Clingan
And then whoever we can get in the 2025 draft, but that's a really damn complete starting lineup.
Speaking of the 25' draft. What would be easier to find?....another scoring center like Ayton or another scoring SF like Keegan?
That's the plan, that's why we drafted Clingan, to trade Ayton before we have to extend himI hear you, and like I said before, I want to keep Ayton. For at least this year. I'm not in love with trying to start a rookie center.
With that said, Ayton is up for an extension soon. Do you really want to pay him what he probably thinks he's worth?
Yup. Just not this year. That's the plan, that's why we drafted Clingan, to trade Ayton before we have to extend him
But if that's what it would take to land TGM (The Good Murray), then I reiterate:Yup. Just not this year.
Yeah, I mean TGM is on the table….. do it.But if that's what it would take to land TGM (The Good Murray), then I reiterate:

My hope is Deandre loves it enough here to sign a team friendly deal.
I just can't believe Pelinka would blatantly disobey Lebron. Not buying it.
I think the idea is not to wait until 2029 or anything like that but to amass picks for trades like the one that brought Avdija here or hopefully one that lands a legit star prospect when Scoot, Shaedon and whoever else have shown us that they're ready to roll into the playoffs.Any trade ideas that actually return a player worth a bucket of spit? So tired of these ideas of sending out solid players for junk and a pick or two that could possibly turn into a decent player a few years down the road.
Probably need to send out a draft pick for that, or find a Kyrie Irving type player that a team can buy low on right now.Any trade ideas that actually return a player worth a bucket of spit? Maybe bring in Miles Bridges? He's a great baller, but yeah beating your wife in front of the kids probably isn't great.
No. As you said, he's just 1 mid-round pick; that's not enough for Grant. The Lakers seem to be running out of options. They have to feel the pressure to upgrade now. Just deal us Knecht and fillers and keep your other picks. He's 1 mid round pick.
So I'm the last person to say lets run it back with Jerami and Ant hogging the ball, going iso and fucking up the development of the guys I expect to be here when we get back in the playoffs... but if the other option is gifting the Lakers Jerami for a guy whose ceiling is JJ Redick and whose likely landing spot is Tim Legler. I say lets run that shit back. The Lakers seem to be running out of options. They have to feel the pressure to upgrade now. Just deal us Knecht and fillers and keep your other picks. I don't hate it and I think both Lyles and DLo could be flipped for second rounders. I don't think they would need to be bought out. I would hope to find another team for Ingram, don't really love the idea of him being a leader on this young team. I think he would probably thrive more on a team with established guys leading him closer to his potential and maybe we pick up a couple more unprotected firsts for him.Inspired by a few recent posts…

We get 2 1s from LAL
Lyles and/or DLo get sent out or bought out?

I want Joe to move Jerami and Ant. I think there are likely moves to be made where we get a fair return for those guys. It's suspicious to me that Joe keeps on coming up empty when other GMs can make moves that make sense for their roster. With all of that said these are good players that have to have value in this league so there is no fucking way we should be giving them away for shit like Knecht. I'm cool if Knecht is part of the return with an unprotected first and filler players that may be flipped for some second rounders but Nah man we shouldn't just fucking give Jerami to a team where he could mean the difference between contention and a first round exit.

Many are clamoring for Jerami Grant too...Laker fans seem to be pumped about adding DDR and I don’t get it. He can’t shoot.
