Not really liking what LA has, but news like this might light a fire under the butts of GS, Dallas and Detroit to move. Possibly Indy too.

How could Indy possibly afford Grant after paying Siakam? Not really liking what LA has, but news like this might light a fire under the butts of GS, Dallas and Detroit to move. Possibly Indy too.
That is probably better than Rui or Vando plus Dlo. That is probably the sticking point: Joe wants that pick.Give me Knecht/2026 FRP and salary filler. I don't care who.
True, some here had talked about trying to work a deal with them but most pivoted to trying to send Ayton there. How could Indy possibly afford Grant after paying Siakam?
I would hope forGive me Knecht/2026 FRP and salary filler. I don't care who.
I would hope for
Knecht + Vando + ‘26 unprotected for Grant + Thybulle
#17 in a weak draft + ‘26 unprotected just seems too little for Grant when Bridges went for like 6 1sts and Avdija went for essentially 2 1sts and 4 2nds (if you want to count Brogdon’s value as 2 2nds instead of a 1st).
You think Detroit would really want Grant back? I really want Ausar, but I would want Ant on the team WITH Ausar. I think he would thrive with Ausar beside him, and it would boost his trade value. If it’s Grant for Ausar + filler, I’d take the deal. Not really liking what LA has, but news like this might light a fire under the butts of GS, Dallas and Detroit to move. Possibly Indy too.

Ant - Shae - Ausar - Avdija - DA
DA can space the floor to about 20ft, the trio of Ant, Shae, and Avdija can space out to the 3, Avdija might consistently spot up from close to 30 eventually and REALLY space things out. Ausar has less “PG potential” than Amen, but he would be expected to be what, the 3rd or maybe 4th ball-handler in that starting lineup?
This lineup has the potential to be scary good still if Scoot doesn’t end up panning out.
wanted this on draft day. would take it today as wellKnecht and two firsts. Salary filler. They can have Rob Williams too.
Right. gotta throw Russel in there too. I guess we would try to buy him out; not sure if he has any value? They can barely match Grant. I don't think Thybulle can go too.
trading a non-rebounding wing making 30+ mil who does none of the dirty work, might not necessarily immediately make them title favorites. and aggregating salary to land him will definitively put them in the 2nd apron. this is not a bad thingThe idea of helping the Lakers out even if the deal is good for the Blazers makes me feel dirty -- lol
Are you asking because you want to use 2023-24 salaries to make the trade work? If that's not the case then it doesn't matter. Trades are being announced right now that won't complete until the new league year, just take our Avdija trade for example. Is the 2031 pick available for a trade consummated before the new league year?
LAL can't trade their '26 pick.I would hope for

I'm asking because the Lakers are a second-apron team after 7/1, so they wouldn't be able to trade for Grant after today (which, I assume, is why these talks are ongoing today) .Are you asking because you want to use 2023-24 salaries to make the trade work? I doubt they'd give up both Hachimura and Vanderbilt. I assume it's one or the other plus VincentKnecht, Vanderbilt, and Hachinura work for me.

Orlando (instead of Ant)?So there would be some urgency. They can only offer so much.
I think the Lakers would want to send out DLO/Vincent/Knecht and another first.
Who could we flip DLO to?
