Notice TRAIL BLAZERS ASSIGN CLIFF ALEXANDER AND LUIS MONTERO TO D-LEAGUE’S SANTA CRUZ WARRIORS (5 Viewers)

68-45 with 8:35 left in the 3rd, and our 2 heroes are already on the bench with fouls.

Montero looks like he can jump about 15 ft in the air watching him win that last jump ball

The Okie Blue team has a guy named Utopia? Hippy parents or Scientologists?

What a coincidence. We went on an 8-0 run after M and A took to the bench.

Better crowd turnout than I saw at the Hawks game I watched the other night. Atlanta has no fans at their homegames..never understood why

Long stretch without our heroes, but Riverman's here so I'm not lonely. M and A need to learn how to endure in a game without fouling. That was what Meyers Leonard learned in his early years.

It's a segregated city. Yes, I said in the first Santa Cruz game that the stands were 95% full. Then I looked again and thought I had overestimated, but didn't post a correction.

Without our heroes, the other players get it down to only a 4-possession game, 12 down.

M comes in and scores! Then steals, then is fouled.

Pretty good flop by Montero there..he's got that clave dance move

M hoists from 60 feet at the end of the quarter. These commentators, when they say that something reminds them of a play in a game earlier this season, tell the listener to look it up on YouTube, and give the date and the opponents. It must be useful to have all games archived and free. Very different from referring to some old play you remember in the NBA.

M bobbles it out of bounds for no reason. Plays fast and a little out of control. As a guard, he's very tall. But he plays under the basket a lot on offense. He's a SF.

Santa Cruz starting to chuck early in every possession, Okies working it inside

M shows some inside defense on the move. As I said last game or was it the 1st game, M will be an NBA starter in 2 years. A needs those 2 years to become a good NBA substitute center so he can begin 2 years of learning to be a good NBA sub forward.

92-82, 8 minutes left. Refs doing another TV review, not about our 2 players.

M makes the right decision, giving it up to someone to get 2 points! Great quick thinking close to the basket. This guy will be good someday.

M thinks he's the only guard and the only forward! He does it all! Tries to dominate. A was in for a minute but came out, being saved for the end. 100-90, 5 minutes left.

Why didn't Batum play this always-trying-to-dominate way in the NBA, the way Montero plays in the D-League? Well?
