Presumably, many in Portland watched KGW's telecast for the Blazers Broadcasting production, with Mike Barrett and Mike Rice on the call. The game also was on TNT.

Here are some the comments from TNT's analyst, including in-game color commentator Brent Barry and "Inside the NBA" talking heads Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith:

Barry just before tipoff: "You look at Memphis, No. 1 in paint points. Portland's going to feel like they've been in the Sistine Chapel after this series is over. That's where they're going to live."

Barry at start of second half (Memphis led 58-39): "This first half has been so difficult for (LaMarcus) Aldridge and (Damian) Lillard to find open opportunities. You know, there's no "d" in Grizzlies, but there's certainly D in Memphis. So far, 9 for 29 between Aldridge and Lillard.

"You gotta remember, during the year, Lillard shot 40 percent against the Grizzlies, so he had a hard time offensively. Aldridge averaged 17 attempts in those games, already 18 in this game, so they're trying to force feed the offense from those guys. They're going to have to respond in the second half."

Barkley on Grizzlies adding Jeff Green: "With (Marc) Gasol and (Zach) Randolph in the half court, they're the best center-power forward combination in the league, but they didn't have explosive plays. ... I always thought Memphis had the most complete team, no disrespect to the other teams ... but the addition of Jeff Green has made them a totally different team."

Barry on Portland's offensive struggles: "Tough to take those long threes and try to establish a rhythm. And then you have Aldridge struggling to establish something on the left side of the floor. It's just been one of those nights for Portland, but against Memphis, there's been a lot of those nights. They have just not gotten over the hump in terms of what they do offensively today."

Barkley on Aldridge: "He shot the ball too much, Ernie. He shot the ball 34 times. That's too many shots."

Smith on Portland: "I think the two guys, Aldridge and Lillard, have to share the wealth a little bit. "

Barry on Portland possibly getting Arron Afflalo back from shoulder injury: "The one thing about Affalo's injury is, it was the first time today that he went out and took some shots (pre-game). So talking about a guy who's not only been out of rhythm, but the right shoulder, the shooting shoulder, for him to finally take some shots.

"And then think about the role that he has to play for Portland in the series with regards to his offense and with regards to long-range shooting. To think that Afflalo can come back, get into condition, then get into an offensive rhythm to provide that for them, such a tall order for that type injury."

Barkley and Smith exchange on Portland and injuries -- Barkley: "I've said this all season about Portland. The key to Portland is Nicolas Batum. He's their X-factor. ... Nicolas Batum, when he plays well, the Portland Trail Blazers have a good chance of winning."

Smith: "There's so little at the two-guard position without of those two guards (Afflalo and Wesley Matthews). I think that's too difficult of a task. You even see Tony Allen posting up in the second half, a guy who doesn't even look to score."

Barkley: "I understand. I'm just telling you, Nicolas Batum is the one guy who can make up the difference."

What did Barkley say about Westbrook when he shot it 43 times?

I agree with Barry on Afflalo. The type of injury he has is going to be tough to come back from and contribute what this team needs from him. Game 6 or 7 if this series goes that far at best. Maybe not this series at all?

I don't care whether it's Game 8 or the Finals. Afflalo will save us. You just have to believe.

Where are Shaq's insightful remarks?
