Because people from LA are superficial. They are all about being as glitzy and gaudy as possible in a pathetic attempt to stand out from the crowd. That makes the hideous piss and purple the perfect color combo for LA's favorite team.

Interesting comment about the Blazers. I thought the circle in the middle of the logo, created by the termination of the 10 lines, represented a basketball. Lukas is a freak about uniforms, so I'm probably wrong.

Both, I thought. Five players on each side, fluid motion, converging into a basketball in the center. It can also be viewed as the players converging at center court, as for the tipoff. Pure poetry. I'm undoubtedly a little biased but I think it rocks.
