Too many carbs and Orange juice is just as bad as soda for sugar. Steak and eggs and fruit, YES!
As soon as you ask Roy, Oden, Elliott and Miles
Ask them how many NBA championship banners they've seen raised by the Blazers.
Stotts said he is taking much of the offense Adelman ran in Sacramento for our offense
A. Is this true/serious
B. Who did he get the offense from, I mean is this just based off tape watching Sacto or do we have an assistant who worked under Adelman as well?
There are a TON of offensive options.
Aldridge on if the offense is more complex than in the past: “Yes, it is. [laughs] I’m not tryin’ to throw anybody under the bus, but yes it is. It’s definitely a lot harder to pick up, there’s a lot more options, a lot more movement. I feel like now teams can’t really lock in on me anymore. I feel like I get a one-on-one play, elbow, block or whatever. He [Stotts] has organized chaos a little bit, go fast but guys have lanes, guys have positions to run to so that’s good... A lot of movement, I’m actually having my own problems ‘cause it’s so many options, so may reads, so I think it’s gonna be big for us this year having better movement out there.”
Damian Lillard on the the offensive system: “It’s a really natural offense. It’s a nice motion offense where it’s kinda like everybody is in a flow. I feel like we can all be effective in it. It’s a lot of pick-and-rolls and everything turns into a hand off or a pass to the wing, a screen-and-roll, that’s what I love to do. For a big man you roll and back-screen and popping out, so it’s probably more complicated for them, but I’m a point guard so plays I naturally pick up on them because I need to know.”
Surprising that MB hasn't released a blog post about the first few days of camp.
(His glowing camp report)
What have you noticed about Damian Lillard?
"He's gonna surprise a lot of people. He's good, he's fast, he knows the game. And the other thing was he's such a good passer. He can pass the ball well. I didn't know that."
What's stood out about Lillard?
"When he wants to drive, he's going to drive. He reminds me of like a (Russell) Westbrook or (Derrick Rose) kind of player. ... explosive."
What does that have to do with this? You are arguing just to argue.

Now we know why Freeland has been the surprise of camp for so many players
Great! If we can turn Babbitt into Peja, LMA into Webber, Leonard into a Brad Miller/Vlade clone, have Wes assume the Doug Christie role (without Jackie) and keep Lillard from turning into too much of a Bibby, then we've got Pure Gold, Jerry!
Those teams, with Webber, Vlade and Miller had some of the best interior passing I have ever seen. If Stotts can bring that to Portland, this will be a very fun team to watch.
BNM

Let's hope it is more like that than the passing with Maglorie, Bogut, Redd and Ford.![]()
I've never seen someone hit so many shots in my face in my life,” Freeland said referring to LaMarcus Aldridge. “I'm doing everything I can to stop him. I'm even touching the ball when he's shooting it and it still goes in. LaMarcus is at another level of play. I'm going to learn from him, I'm going to watch the way he plays and hopefully pick up whatever he has.”
That was all the motivation Freeland needed to get out of some bad habits.
Aldridge didn't say a word to Freeland in order for him to change his ways. There was no “Joel, you need to pick it up” or “Stop being lazy, Joel.” Aldridge just destroyed him on the court and Freeland got the message.
“I have to step my game up now,” Freeland said. “I'm not the kind of person that's going to come over here and sit back and relax. I'm never going to be that kind of guy. I'm a guy that goes out and tries to prove myself everyday on the court and to help a team win.”
