So, Mack should not have competed against girls, because of his unfair advantage. I think lots of folks (including Mack) agree with this. He should have competed against boys.
Where I think you're being really weird about this is that, instead of saying "and Texas law shouldn't bar him from doing that!" you're saying "Well, laws will be laws, I gotta accept them oh well, this trans athlete should never have been allowed to be an athlete. Sorry, them's the rules." You're standing with the law, not me. You're totally accepting of it as an excuse to make sure "maulings" don't happen. Trust me, you're really worked up about this and it's confusing to me.
