i have a feeling that we will never get rid of him. and that irritates the shit out of me. when will the Blazer organization realize that a project can only be a project for so long. i wish Ed was healthy so he would take Meyers' minutes. make him ride the bench. that's the only place he belongs.

I really really really really hope Butters reads this board

Hey Meyers ! If you still don't get it it's you we're calling Butters !

Meyers is literally the only guy on the team that strikes me as the type that would actually read this board voluntarily.

I'm willing to give the dude a serious pass if he does have 2 herniated discs (?!?!) and a bum hip and is still banging down low. LMA was fully functional and wouldn't do that shit.

I've never seen him have a bad attitude at a tough defensive assignment, he's relatively mobile for a 7+ foot guy, and has shown he can shoot wide-open shots when his body isn't degenerating on him.

As the #8 guy on a team, he's pretty damn valuable. At 10M/yr, less so -- obviously Neil was banking on a big leap forward, but the kid hasn't even reached physical prime yet.

If you didn't know any better you'd expect him to be D-League bad just based off of what some people say about him.

I do get frustrated with Meyers at times, I'm sure he's frustrated at himself for some of the mistakes on the court, the ones that anger fans. A lot of people used to call him "Bieber" around here, and I thought it was awesome how a group of us talked about it at the Schonz meet and greet, and most (all?) of us in that discussion agreed we wouldn't use it anymore because it wasn't very classy... that there are more productive ways as a fan to talk about his play on the court without insulting him as a person.

Knowing his story and what he has overcome makes it impossible for me to root against Meyers as well. I want the dude stick around in the league for a long time. I feel like he's one of the best community guys out there, and while worth nothing in basketball, in life it's worth a lot.

I saw the title and was like: what the fuck..
in all honesty, I was afraid to opet this thread, thank you Sinobas very much

He may not be contributing, but Meyers seems like a good dude.

I wish you all a happy summer after making fun of him on what's getting to be a personal level.

I like Meyers, just wish he would develop more of a post game. The few times we've seen video from the practice facility it shows him only working on his 3pt shooting. I don't mind him taking that shot but he really needs to spend more time near the basket.

No. Its not even slightly on a personal level. I feel that I am a decent person, and help others. I have donated COUNTLESS hours of my free time to the community. Still, if I worked at the Pike Place Market, and I was screwing around on the job, and tossed a salmon off the top of one of their signs; I'd probably get fired....

I like him as a person and what he does for others. However, when he is on the job- and the whistle blows- and he then does a turnaround jumper from the corner 3, and it bounces off the TOP of the backboard.....

I can't take him seriously, because he does not appear to take his job seriously. There is nothing personal about it at all....

I think the problem with Meyers is he takes it too seriously. You can literally see him thinking instead of just playing. He'll probably be a good coach one day. Shitty players tend to make solid coaches.
