Hard to believe the guy who hit all year, had huge open ice hits has played like a total pussy this series and hasn't thrown one big hit that I can remember. Talk about a playoff dud.

I actually thought before this series that Trouba was going to catch Crosby or one of their top offensive players with their head down on an open ice, crushing hit knocking them out for the series. He's played like a walking vagina. That is maybe the most stunning thing to me in this series.

After further review the NHL has announced the Jacob Trouba has been suspended for the next 25 games dur to an official hit on Crybaby Crobsy.

Trouba leads the team +5 but that's probably only relevant to an official thread. Also tied with Reaves for lead in hits but don't see how that's going to affect anything other than Cindy's equilibrium. Also leads team in blocked shots this postseason but only tied for 2nd on the Rangers for SOG. The evidence is overwhelming!

Zibanehad is tied for third in playoff scoring for the Rangers. I haven’t noticed him the entire series other than he sucked. Zibanejad is a -2. Lafreniere is a -2. Lafreniere has been 5 times the player in this series that Zibanejad has been. Never ceases to amaze me that the sports world has turned into a bunch of stats geeks that has no idea what they are looking at with a player. When you watch Reeves hit, his hits intimidate players. Trouba gets hits rubbing into people this series. His Crosby hit was the first big hit I've seen him throw all series.

Great fucking pass leading to the Pens scoring shorthanded when the Rangers could have put the game on ice. Another shit play from Trouba in the playoffs. In an elmination game he was fucking putrid.

That one play was terrible as was K'Andre not sprawling and knocking the puck away but it definitely overshadowed his 2 SOG/3 hit/2 block night. He could have been feeling a little off from the uncalled elbow Cuentzal threw too.

Outside of a few big hits he hasn't been great.

We continue to be so tough on this D. Yes Trouba had a bad game today, but he has been very good in the playoffs overall. All of the dmen have been solid or better overall IMO. These guys have so much pressure on them non-stop, and have done well.

Miller has come into his own, despite a lot of questioning in here. Trouba is a big hitter, a leader, and helps set the tone. Is he overpaid at $8M per, I'd say yes he should be in the 6's, but overall he is a very good # 2 RD. And Fox is a stud. Not every game is perfect, but he brings it almost every game, despite the other team knowing he's the guy.

I am very happy with the D overall since game 5 against the Pens, and think they deserve a lot of credit for this run we are on.
