not to mention most simple possession is just a fine. if you are doing serious time you either had a fuck ton of pot and were selling it or you were using harder drugs or you were near a school. you get caught with a joint you might do a night in jail and pay a $500 fine or some shit.

Could land on your "rap sheet" which could toss you into a prison in another State, Federal jurisdiction or deny you the great job you wanted. I am 63 and I have personally seen what cops and macho right wing jackasses do to people just because the "Look Like The Kind That Deserves" a good beating was in their Jack Daniels laced breath. I had long hair, followed The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Hendrix, Zappa, Doobie Brothers, Little Feat, Los Lobos, SRV and so forth. I played bass and guitar in many bands, picked up hitchhikers, went to two Woodstocks and over the years saw the difference in people of my generation and generation whatever it is now. I and others in here had Great Times that people born in 1983 had never experienced. My son was born in 1980. He loves me because he sees my respect for anyone who wants personal freedom, absent of any skin color and lives a good life without hanging a placard on someone else's neck. if you pay your fine another state is not going to put a hold on you. pretty much no one gives a fuck about misdemeanors. hell you can land most jobs with a recent DUI and that shit costs double what simple possession usually does.

my buddy arrested a white kid with over a pound all measured out in mason jars ready for sale. dude was driving around town making deliveries. probably got high with every customer because he fell asleep at the wheel at a red light in a busy intersection. but ya, white people dont get arrested for doing stupid shit.
