President Trump has reportedly invited Vladimir Putin to the White House for a visit, according to a statement from the Kremlin. Putin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters Monday that during a March 20 phone conversation, Trump “suggested that the first meeting could be held in Washington” between the two leaders. “If everything goes well, I hope that the American side would not refuse its proposal to discuss the possibility of organizing the summit talks.” According to an Agence France-Presse reporter, a senior U.S. official did “not deny” that Trump “floated the idea of a White House summit,” noting that “no planning has begun as yet.” According to a TASS state media report, Ushakov told journalists that since the U.S. and Russia has expelled their respective diplomats from their countries, “there have been no specific discussions of a possible meeting.” He also said Russia “would like to believe that preparations for such a meeting will begin.” The news follows reports Trump congratulated Putin on his re-election over the phone on that call after his staff told him explicitly not to—as well as a suspected poisoning of a former Russian spy on British soil and amid special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of alleged Trump campaign collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential election.

He wants to come here and check on his investment (Trump) and ask why things aren't progressing fast enough.

Putin wants to show Trump how big his button is. It will be hung on a chain around his shirtless chest.

Hey I know, we could give him controlling interest in 20 percent of our uranium...oh, wait...thats already been done...hmmm

Okay, we could get an old Staples prop, and for PR purposes, we could confuse them with some cheep ass "reset" button, and make sure that it transulates into something about a running toilet....oh, wait...ahh

Okay, I got it..We tell them that after the election, we can be far more flexible and ahhh, er...damn

Do you think this is a bad thing?
Russian poisonings in Britain. Russian slayings of journalists and political opponents at home. Russian meddling the 2016 elections. Russian fighters continuing to buzz U.S. naval ships and U.S. recon planes in international waters.

Yeah, I'd say it'd be kind of a bad thing right now.

Russia is a nuclear power. You absolutely have to have dialogue with them.

Trump wants to repay the favor of the naked women in his room trick. I wonder if he'll also copy the secret video taping of the event trick.

I see nothing wrong with it.
Well you see, people are still trying to desperately tie this whole putin trump thing together. It's basically equivalent to the republicans when they tried to say Obama wasn't born here. It's something people desperately hold onto despite any real evidence at all. Instead on focusing on some actual real lame shit Trump is doing behind closed doors, they are choosing to continue the russian collusion narrative.

No that really isn't it. Russia is basically a hostile power at this point. A state visit is sort of a "reward" (or at least an overture of goodwill) between nations. Extending a state visit in diplomatic terms, is sort of like saying, "Hey let's let bygones be bygones." Russia hasn't earned that yet. It makes us look like puppet state.

Right now I've got a cousin in the army, and I can tell you that while Russia is buzzing our warships and our planes, extending an olive branch like this is pissing off plenty of rank and file soldiers. If you're too fucking thick to figure out why that might be, then there's nothing I can say that will illuminate why this is a problem.

So what about Kim jong un and Trumps future meeting? I mean is there a collusion there as well? what would make you happy? I don't know about you but I would like a decent relationship with these two crazy fucks especially Russia. I don't want America to be friends with these guys but you have to establish some form of communication just to say hey no pressing that big red button and you do you and I will do me, we don't have to be friends but no nuclear war please

Trump has already initiated a relationship with Russia. Soon we will find out the extent of it and what Russia has over Trump for him to be so blatantly loyal to him and less friendly with our allies.

Soon you'll find out it's all a bunch of bullshit.

This is just like Trump becoming buddies with Dennis Rodman on the Apprentice....Trump has never stopped playing that role...it's scripted. Trump and Rodman....buddies....Rodman and Kim Jong whack job....buddies.....Putin...evil bond villain...Trump....looking for evil bond villain hookers...it all makes perfect sense

Prepared to be shocked then. I hope you aren't relying on that extremely efficient investigation by the Republican House "Intelligence" committee, lol.

Yeah, that was Obama's approach for 8 years, and how we got to where we are at.

Let's wait until WWlll starts, then sit down and chat about the dead.

It's funny that the Kremlin has to tell us about the invitation, don't you think?

barfo

You think we forced them to break the news? :dunno:

Maybe lighten up on your consumption of rum a tad.

No, that's not what I think. What I think is that the Kremlin is more transparent than the White House, for some reason.

why is the Trumpets (Trump puppets) fall back to always blame Obama and never blame Trump?

If it's false, why wouldn't the White House say so, instead of 'no comment'?

Do you believe Russia's statement that they had no involvement in the poisoning of that Russian spy?

There are a couple major differences between the NK and Russian situations.

Russia just attempted assasination in the country of our greatest ally. Our duty is to stand with our ally’s who have just expressed the wish to punish not praise Russia.
NK on the other hand is threatening two very tight ally’s Japan and South Korea who both supported increased peace talks and American help in the situation.

So in one case we are working against our ally’s and in the other we are working with them.

The second major difference is that we did not invite Kim Jong Un to the Whitehorse, we are entering talks but not in the symbol of American freedom.

A third difference is that NK is a bad actor with their nuclear program but has not actually attacked America. Putin and Russia just attacked the 16 election and the heart of American democracy.

These issues don’t have to do with collusion, you are conflating two issues. Regardless of the Trump team, Russia did interfere with our election. To invite him to the Whitehouse is to basically say that wasn’t important.

I doubt the NK talks will be productive but I am not morally opposed to them. Inviting Putin to the Whitehouse on the other hand is despicable.
