Funny to watch guys freak out over this shit.

Would you rather send maybe 37,000 to their final ass kicking contest?
Or have Trump just Kiss their ass a couple times and be done with it?

Stupid optics, but I don’t care about this. In fact, if little things like this end up helping actually getting NK on a real path towards getting rid of their nukes then I’d be fine with it. I doubt it would have any effect one way or another.

Remember the outrage over this?

you mean kind of like Trump freaked out when Obama "bowed" to the Saudi King?

Ironically I was on Reddit looking for new documentaries to watch and this North Korean one on the summit popped up. Skimmed through it and found this clip of this exact moment. So while you spin it as "oh well hey trump just saluted the guy and that's it". Well if you look at the clip, it was a gesture that was just out of respect. he went to shake this North Korean generals hand and he didn't shake Trumps hand, he went to salute Trump first and Trump did it back I assume out of respect and then the general shook his hand. So there is that. Timestamped it at 23:36

Saluting a military guy and bowing to a King aren't remotely the same thing. I don't give a shit about either but let's be real.

Just heard about this. I had to interrupt my cigar and off-season life just to come here and see if idiots were freaking out about this "blown out of context" salute.

Yep.

General saluted first, AFTER Trump offered his hand.

Anything to make Trump look bad. As long as it's out of spite, it's okay.....that's the Liberal way.

"Worried"? No. Concerned that the Emotions Brigade is going to win in the mid-terms? Slightly.

For the first time in his life, Trump gets to play with toy soldiers

So you condone lies, manipulation and running a false foundation? Are you happy that Trump and his trumpets are taking almost 3 trillion from social security? When do you retire? Might not be any money there. But that's okay right?

The President of the United States does not salute generals from countries that we are still at war with.

The President of the United States can use a customary greeting to the leader of an ally.

This is all well known and standard protocol.

Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, in a statement for the veterans-focused advocacy group VoteVets.org, called Trump’s salute “wholly inappropriate."

The Trump administration must talk with North Korea, he said, "for the sake of avoiding a disastrous war. But they have not earned the salute of a president.”

“There's a protocol for military salutes," tweeted Mieke Eoyang, a former intelligence-focused Hill staffer, who's now with the center-left think tank Third Way. "They're given to friendly foreign militaries. But w/DPRK, we are still in a state of war, so a salute is improper,” she added, referencing Pyongyang's preferred name for North Korea, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Oh calm your tits. Firstly, EVERYONE from BOTH sides of the isle takes Social Security, not just "Trumpets" (he appreciates your support, by the way) so grow up.

Secondly, I can't take you seriously while you refuse to acknowledge the corruption from Democrats; corruption that's SO BAD that they kept Bernie Sanders from getting the nomination. JUST ONCE, I want to hear a Leftist acknowledge that. And the media bias. And the fact that Hillary was the worst candidate in the history of this country. And the fact that Obama didn't do ANYTHING to better this country, and set race relations back 50 years.

Until you do that, then your words about Trump are meaningless. I've been completely unbiased about Trump from day one. It's time for Leftists to do the same with their own party.

And thirdly, Democrats have been bitching and moaning about this bullshit for DECADES, and we're still fine. Social Security isn't going anywhere, and Trump isn't going to kidnap you and hook your nipples up to a car battery.

You're obsessed with Trump. We get it. Do yourself a favor: turn off the TV, stop watching the news, and take that pussy hat off. Go back to harassing private businesses over baking a cake and bathroom laws, instead of obsessing about Trump.

Sly, trump is very unaware of a lot of standard protocols when it comes to being president so throw that one out the window. Either way I don’t know what people want us to do. Continue to be enemies with North Korea or just be like hey you do you but we are cool. I prefer the second option.

Thank you. The man is a New York business man who's never been a politician.

At least he has an excuse. What was Obama's and Bush's excuses?

I'm fine with NK using Trump's refusal to learn basic protocol as propaganda. Don't have a problem with it.

Ignorance and incompetence is an excuse now?
