Yeah. It is still a huge problem in the south. In the Florida panhandle, it is a normal thing to just drop unwanted dogs off in the forest or swamp. That's why my sister has 5 dogs. She just kept finding them out in the swamps during her wildlife fieldwork. It's fucking disgusting.
They just recently found an abandoned uhaul full of puppy mill Pomeranians. Makes me happy knowing they had to devise a lottery because so many people want to adopt them.

Because of you white people. Good thing we saved those folks.

This says MUCH more about white Alabamians than it does Democrats. LOL.

Huge racist-baiting ass-sumption on your part.

Last time I looked both candidates were white and the election was by the usual SECRET ballot. :dunno:

All my pets have come upstream from the local transfer refuse station down the mountain....people drop them off there all the time.stream goes through my property...cougars get a lot of them...if it creeps you out...I don't recommend traveling in India....animals die in the streets mange ridden and starving...

As do it's citizens.

Edit: We do have some other rules about expletives like don't post the N word.

Which "N" word? :dunno:

There are so many "N" words that some snowflake out there in cyberspace might be offended by, some specifity is in order.

Is it Nativity? Nationalist? Naturist? Nudist? Navvies? Nincompoop? Nigrify? Niobrium? Nothing-burger? Nurturer? Nurse? Nixon? Nanny-goat? Nazi? Nutjob? Nasty? Null? Nympho? Nudnick? Newsboy? Nipple? Nimble?

Nanny-goat.

Obviously.

The Constitutions explicitly states the president or vice president can be impeached for treason. In so many words. So clearly, yes, it is legally possible for a president or VP to be a traitor.

LBJ proved that quite succinctly.

Might be easier to just ban the M word.

So, the "President of the United States", who swore to uphold a Constitution he has not read, is filing a lawsuit to block an American citizen's free speech? Oi vey.

Trump could launch nuclear war and Maris would probably still say "phenomenally successful! greatest president ever!"

Libel is not free speech.

"Off the record" carries no legal protections--it's a gentleman's agreement that's important to honor in some cases and not in others. It's not like client-attorney privilege. If someone told a reporter, "This is off the record, but I have a plan in place to assassinate the President," it'd be ridiculous not to report it. Even serious news or observations relevant to the reporters' investigation that isn't criminal doesn't make sense "off the record." The only place "off the record" is appropriate is if someone wants to explain their thinking but doesn't want that thinking splashed across the news.

Unless we knew what parts were supposedly off the record (and we knew the person claiming it was is telling the truth), there's no way to know if the writer did something unethical or not.

Absurd rationalization from someone known on this board for absurd rationalizations.

In any relationship, HONESTY is tantamount.

No reporter, or his publisher, will last long if they lie to the hand that feeds them, whether it's their readers or the sources of their stories.

It's why nobody has ever heard of this clown, and it's why every review of the hit piece has panned it for lying.

Donald Trump’s former chief strategist Steve Bannon has described the Trump Tower meeting between the president’s son and a group of Russians during the 2016 election campaign as “treasonous” and “unpatriotic”, according to an explosive new book seen by the Guardian.

Bannon, speaking to author Michael Wolff, warned that the investigation into alleged collusion with the Kremlin will focus on money laundering and predicted: “They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.”

Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, reportedly based on more than 200 interviews with the president, his inner circle and players in and around the administration, is one of the most eagerly awaited political books of the year. In it, Wolff lifts the lid on a White House lurching from crisis to crisis amid internecine warfare, with even some of Trump’s closest allies expressing contempt for him.

Bannon, who was chief executive of the Trump campaign in its final three months, then White House chief strategist for seven months before returning to the rightwing Breitbart News, is a central figure in the nasty, cutthroat drama, quoted extensively, often in salty language.

He is particularly scathing about a June 2016 meeting involving Trump’s son Donald Jr, son-in-law Jared Kushner, then campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in New York. A trusted intermediary had promised documents that would “incriminate” rival Hillary Clinton but instead of alerting the FBI to a potential assault on American democracy by a foreign power, Trump Jr replied in an email: “I love it.”

The meeting was revealed by the New York Times in July last year, prompting Trump Jr to say no consequential material was produced. Soon after, Wolff writes, Bannon remarked mockingly: “The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor – with no lawyers. They didn’t have any lawyers.

“Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shit, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Bannon went on, Wolff writes, to say that if any such meeting had to take place, it should have been set up “in a Holiday Inn in Manchester, New Hampshire, with your lawyers who meet with these people”. Any information, he said, could then be “dump[ed] … down to Breitbart or something like that, or maybe some other more legitimate publication”.

Bannon added: “You never see it, you never know it, because you don’t need to … But that’s the brain trust that they had.”

"Explosive," lol...

Nixon was never accused of treason, nor tried for it, nor convicted of it.
Tell me more about Nixon....I monitored his wartime propaganda in Viet Nam...he instructed the military to hide many things from the public...he was a piece of shit...a liar and a paranoid asshole....he resigned to avoid being convicted and he was definitely tried by the public...we let him slide to save face. And if you think this guy writing about Trump is a sleaze...you may very well be right but what does that say about the administration that parked him in the corner and let him take notes and question the staff? One might conclude that Trump is the worst team builder to ever grace the oval office. He throws anyone under the bus that doesn't wear Trump brown lipstick
