(RNS) — Is Martin Gugino an Antifa provocateur?

Or a beloved Catholic peace activist who was the victim of police brutality in Buffalo, New York?

A Tuesday morning (June 9) tweet from President Trump suggested the former, drawing a wave of shock and outrage from friends of the 75-year-old activist who was shoved to the ground by Buffalo, New York, police during a protest last Thursday outside City Hall.

It doesn’t matter whether he was the founder and patron saint of Antifa. He was exercising his First Amendment rights in a peaceful manner. What those punk cops did to him is the epitome of wrong on so many levels and a prime example of why this country is bucking this bullshit like a wild horse. I guess what makes me so personally angry is that I spent several days in Buffalo a year ago and I can say, without hesitation or reservation that it is the most friendly and helpful (big) city I have ever visited. It was truly mind boggling, so to see their moronic, imbecilic Jack boot cops do something so vile and uncalled for (and then to keep walking) is hard for me to wrap my mind around. Fuck those idiots and anyone who enables them.

Not trolling at all, guys. Trump has taken his ill-advised mantra to a completely new level these last few weeks. I'm not voting for Biden, but I've become a bit betwixt as of late.

The cop who shoved him the hardest knew he fucked up. After the shove as they were walking past he turned and saw the dude was unconscious bleeding from his headed and reacted. He did the whole I'm fucked reaction.

Betwixt enough to NOT vote for Trump?

You know things are getting bad when even ABM isn't sure if he wants to drink the entire glass of poisoned kool-aid.

Trumps source on Martin Gugino being antifa, is a Russian living in San Diego who is a reporter for the Kremlins own newswire Sputnik, in addition to OAN.

Yeah, that's a reputable source.

I hope Martin Gugino sues him for Libel.

I listened to this guy on a talk show last evening. Kind of blew my mind in terms of his approach to living life here in America. I was greatly impressed by the purity of his convictions and spiritual/philosophical takes. He spent a lot of time with Mother Teresa. I mean, how could he NOT be affected in a positive way?

He also help found The Simple Way in Philadelphia:

Kind of unrelated, but the story of him "meeting" Mother Teresa sounds a little suspect.

He claims they called India, and she answered in English (not her native tongue).

You ever hear the expression "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"? Him meeting Mother Teresa sounds very much too good to be true.

Me thinks he's real and transparent. You can believe what you'd like.

BTW, Shane is absolutely against the death penalty and also thinks Trump is bad for America.

I'm still leaving my options open for the Azores!

Yeah, that doesn't really prove that his story doesn't have holes in it. Why no pictures?

BS is BS, regardless of whether or not someone agrees with me or not. Him being against the death penalty and thinking Trump is bad for the US doesn't mean I'm going to put away my BS detectors. Nor does it all the sudden make his story seem realistic.
