Wants that fuel the Desires that this country was built upon.

There are 320+ million guns in this country, owned by roughly 180 million people. And yet, according to the FBI, firearms account for less than 1% of the total number of deaths in this country per year.

If guns were the problem.....you'd know it.

If absolutely baffles me that people think that AR-15s/AK-47s, Republicans, the NRA, or Trump are the problems here. The problems are that we are more overpopulated than ever, and we as a society are more stressed out and on edge than ever before about grossly overblown and exaggerated issues. Everyone hates everyone, and everyone gets worked up over stupid, trivial bullshit like politics or social issues.

This kind of shit didn't happen when my father was a kid. Or when his grandfather was a young man. Back then, you could not only take a rifle to school in a rack in the window of your pickup truck, but you could order one from a magazine and have it delivered to your fucking door without so much as a peep from the delivery man. There were no background checks, there were no regulations or "waiting periods".

So what does that tell you?

Jesus Christ....OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES. GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM HERE. Blaming guns for these mass shootings is like trying to fight a million acre wildfire with a watering can. It's pointless, and a waste of time. This isn't the NRA's problem, the gun industry's problem, Trump's problem, or a Republican problem. This is a SOCIETY problem. And you can thank that fucking media for getting everyone on edge and hyped up over stupid shit, and you can thank Hollywood for glamorizing violence as a means to an end.

But oh....."President Tiny Hands" makes a sarcastic remark on Twitter, and the Pussy Hat Brigade gets up in a tissy about it. Because "Resist".

I like some of your post Jade.
However some of it is just as divisive as those who blame Trump, Republicans, or the NRA.
Until we as a society can get past being divisive, nothing will change.

Blaming the right, or left will never fix anything.
Calling republicans a Nazi(or whatever term one wishes to use) is just as dumb as calling democrats cucks(or whatever term one wishes to use).
There can be no conversation when words like this are said.
There will only be hostility and people talking at one another.

Until the average american stops trying to blame others and takes responsibility for kids getting shot in schools. Nothing can change.
 
And shame on the teachers and parents that had these kids do a "lie in" you are protesting people breaking the law now. Protests are to tell the government theyve crossed the line. When it comes to Gun Control, I blame Democrats and Liberals because they support it based on emotion and the belief that it works, or the idea that it is truly necessary. They do so without ever consulting with a single Joe Average person who is pro-gun, the NRA, or a scholar in the subject of Firearms. And they won't consult with them because they know they'll never win an argument based on facts and rational reasoning.

Then they forward whatever cherry-picked information to their gullible house-wife and Liberal voters; the same people who can tell me who Rachael Ray had as a cooking guest on her show, or who Paris Hilton is fucking at the moment, or whom wore what to an awards show.......yet they can't tell me who Massad Ayoob, Dave Kopel, Alan Korwin, or even Colion Noir are (Colion happens to be an accomplished Lawyer, as well as being a commentator with his own talk show). All people whom are far more intelligent on the subject of guns than any Democrat I have yet to meet or hear of.

The Republicans who are supporting gun control right now are doing it because they're weak, and only care about votes instead of sticking to their convictions. But the Democrats are supporting gun control out of willful ignorance, arrogance, and as an appeasement to their base.

I can forgive (to a point) one, but not the other. Democrats have ALWAYS been the losers on the issue of Gun Control for a reason, and this time is no different.

I appreciate what you're saying about labeling one side vs the other. I get that, and I agree with it for the most part. But not when it comes to the issue of Gun Control.

Gun Control doesn't work. And when it comes to this issue, the simple fact is that Conservatives and Republicans have the benefit of the doubt. Democrats don't, and for good reason.

Thank you for not being an ignorant fool. I was literally about to give up. Im so sick of these idiots thinking bump stock bans solbes the worlds problems. I personally dont give a fucj about a bump stock. I'd never use one because i like to hit what im aiming at. But to think it saves anyone by banning them is pure stupidity.

Over on GlockTalk, there's a division over this topic. Like you, I could give two flying fucks about bumpstocks. But if adding them to the NFA meant that we could get National Reciprocity, then I personally would not pass that up.

The other side believes that banning one thing will lead down a slippery slope towards further confiscation and banning of other objects, regardless of how minor, that go with the basic functioning of a firearm, until you've basically banned a gun. And I can certainly see that argument. I mean, it's not like gun banners ever give up. Just look at some of the people in this thread.

And Democrats say "we're not taking away your guns". What the fuck do you think the word "BAN" means, you fucking morons?

I kind a wonder about banning the bump stock. If the effect is actually what is desired. I mean the practical effect of the bump stock is to waste the rounds in the magazine. Banning the thing seems to be nothing but a feel good, where as the practical effect is to make the ammo in the magazine potentially more effectively utilized if evil is the intent.

Considering they've been on the market in some form or another for years, and yet there's only been one recorded crime committed with them......then I fail to see what banning them will do.

Maybe instead of banning bump stocks gun control advocates should be calling for guns to be required to empty the entire magazine on a single pull of the trigger.

CNN had an article up the other day asking if 16 year olds should be able to vote? why? well because of all these young kids at this school who have been yelling and bitching about the NRA and gun laws now.
