The return of Mr. 194........

RHP - Nathan Eovaldi (4-2, 4.44 ERA)

VS.

RHP - R.A. Dickey (2-5, 4.50 ERA)

NOTE: In 14 games in May, Jacoby Ellsbury is 16 for 46 (348) with a home run & 4 steals.

Alex Rodriguez will play a rehab game for the Trenton Thunder tonight as per Meredith Marakovits.

^^^Good to know Lil, so his possible disruption of the team will be put on hold for another day.

BTW: I don't know who makes up the schedule but a 3 game home stand is ridiculous.

I know Rick, the schedule is ridiculous 3 home games then headed down to that dump to play the Rays.

The Yankees claim RHP Layne Samsen off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds and option him to Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as per Yankees PR.

Time for the Yankees to start kicking Blue Jay Butt on a routine basis. A tight game may see Eovaldi, and the BP trio make Joey Bat buzz a bit.

I'd love to see Bautista get buzzed tonight.

DH - Beltran (274)
RF - Ackley (152)
2B - Castro (276)
3B - Headley (213)
SS - Gregorius (259)
C - Romine (250)

GO YANKEES!!

Damn Joe, I thought the number 3 hitter was supposed to be the teams best. Best hope there is a fire in the hole at number three tonight.

Bluejays are disliked around the league....and it's understandable.
They just rub the other teams the wrong way- of course not all of their players, but those other players aren't the face of the team.
Bautista- and the other asshole Encarnation who feels the need to give a little demonstration whenever he circles the bases after a HR.

Donaldson hasn't made any friends lately.
He got ejected the other day returning back to the dugout after grounding out.
During the AB, he openly showed his disagreement with a couple of called strikes.....then he hits a grounder and loafs to first base - the Twins were getting on him for dogging it and he retaliated (possibly towards the ump) with the magic words and got tossed.

Sorta leaves a bad taste in your mouth and makes you wonder - how often do "other teams" feel the need to jaw at an MVP player for lack of hustle? My guess is Mr. Donaldson wasn't liked very much to begin with, for whatever reason.
Maybe it's the uniform?

Ugh the knuckle ball. Maybe they will finally have some success against one tonight.

No Michael the best hitter generally bats behind the cleanup hitter. Oh wait..............there seems to be something wrong here.:hairout:

Oh shit I forgot the Dickster was pitching tonight. This one could get ugly.

I know there's a chance of rain tonight but DAMN! I can't believe the stands are so bare with the team currently on a 5 game winning streak.

And yet later Kay will announce the crowd as 30,000+

FU Teixeira, 1st & 3rd with nobody out, at least hit a fly ball to get in a run. But instead you strike out.

Last chance for Tex......that is batting in the top 5.
If he still stinks up the place tonight Girardi has to drop him in the lower third - maybe that will jog his memory and he'll know the next stop is bench city.

Saw ESPN articles today indicating that the Yankees should move Beltran. Better move bench A-hole, find a 1st baseman and sit Tex.

Ball game over. Yankees win. Theeeeeeeeeeee Yankees win!

I was following ESPN Gamecast saw a side car comment by Marchand that Tex has struck out 47 times in his last 150 at bats, Yankee Fans were restless and the boos were starting to come. Yes nice win tonight, Eovaldi and pen put together a nice game.

Wow 6 game winning streak and I just found out that A-Roid confirmed that he will be playing with the Trenton Thunder again Wednesday night. That should make "Ricky Two Teams" happy.

13-5 in the last 18 and thankfully back to .500. Big games coming up so hopefully they stay hot and continue to move up. I'm just glad I look forward to turning on the games again.

Quite easy to presume the Yanks won't be a serious division contender....I wouldn't mind accepting the odds on 4 teams to 1 (Yanks) winning this division. But I'm resigned to hoping the Yanks are really much better than the first 6-7 weeks of this season and will have at least a better pitching staff than Boston, Toronto and Baltimore.
That's the best I can do- for now.
Go Yanks
