NBA star Enes Kanter doesn't regret speaking out against Turkey's human rights abuses

Enes Kanter is Turkey's most famous NBA player but his family was forced to disown him, he is not allowed into Turkey and he was even asked to change his name, so his family did not have to suffer on-going reprisals.

His crime? Calling out human rights abuses.

Enes Kanter said:
"When I sit down and think about all this stuff … obviously you miss your family, you miss your mum's cooking, you miss playing one-on-one with your brother, or having a conversation with your sister," he said.

"Of course you miss those moments.

"But in the end what I am doing is affecting millions of people, so I have to do this for innocent people.

"But I think, you know … my teammates show me so much support — my coaches, the staff, the fans.

"They always ask me if I have any regrets.

"I wish I had done more, that's my regret."

Make this guy a citizen already. Oh wait he has darker skin, might scare people. On the other hand just make voting booths have a height requirement. Too tall enes, can't vote.
