Politics Turning GA, NC, NV, and/or PA into victory (Biden vs Trump, 2020 election!)

Welcome to our community

So only 15/16ths of the democratic primary voters are on board with Biden? Why, that's only 94%!

What support does Trump say he has among Republicans? 96%?

So worried.

Worrying doesn't change anything....we're all past that phase...it's now, damage control. We are forced to fix stupid.....and survive a pandemic while doing that..I like our odds at dumping the chump

Did S2 go out of business? Why didn't anyone tell me?

Their Blazer forum has been out of business for several years now. Their politics forum is still active although the participation is low.
I once made a remark in the politics forum that the Trump administration reminded me of the Three Stooges and the moderator warned me not to insult the Three Stooges. I laughed my ass off.
Marzy used to be active in the OLive political forum but he got banned there, also. Same shtick. Must be a deep state thing.

I was never an alcoholic but I started getting those irish liver spots and figured I'd get ahead of the game....I also felt the booze enabled the smoking...enabled a lot of unhealthy behavior. No 12 step program, just a decision I didn't look back from....liver spots cleared up in a couple of months. quit smoking for good a few months after...now I spend that money on Asian market goodies and the occasional thai curry dinner out

Americans need to take their heads out of their collective butt. They allow their party leaders to divide them over their differences. This is wrong thinking, as well as literally wrong. The parties actually agree on more things than they disagree on, polls prove it. Yet people get drawn into the political divide, and proceed to stay stuck there. Never realizing that the person they argue with everyday actually agrees with them more often than not, if only they changed the subject. And stopped being led around by the nose, they just might, one day, realize it.

Biden's edge evaporates as Trump seen as better suited for economy, coronavirus response, poll shows

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Joe Biden's advantage over President Donald Trump in popular support has eroded in recent weeks as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee struggles for visibility with voters during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Tuesday.

The opinion poll conducted on Monday and Tuesday found that 43% of registered voters said they would support Biden in the Nov. 3 presidential election, while 41% said they would back Trump. That makes the contest essentially a toss-up, as the results are within the poll's credibility interval.

Biden led by 6 percentage points in a similar poll last week and by 8 points in a poll that ran April 15 to 21.

The former vice president has been forced to run his presidential campaign from his Delaware home in keeping with restrictions aimed at combating the virus, which has killed more than 70,000 people in the United States and put 30 million people out of work.

By contrast, Trump has put himself at the helm of the U.S. pandemic response, with regular White House briefings until recently.

Some of Biden's most dominant recent headlines focused on a former U.S. Senate aide's allegation that he sexually assaulted her in 1993. Biden said last week the alleged assault "never happened" and asked the Senate to make public any documents related to the accusation by Tara Reade, who worked as a staff assistant in Biden’s Senate office from December 1992 to August 1993.

The political impact of the situation was not yet clear in the Reuters/Ipsos poll, which showed 53% of the American public said they were "somewhat" or "very" familiar with Reade's allegation.

According to the poll, 45% of Americans said Trump was better suited to create jobs, while 32% said Biden was the better candidate for that. That pushed Trump's advantage over Biden in terms of job creation to 13 points, compared with the Republican president's 6-point edge in a similar poll that ran in mid-April.

Thirty-seven percent said Trump was better leading the country's coronavirus response, while 35% preferred Biden. A similar poll in mid-April showed Biden had a slight edge over Trump when it came to the nation's response to the disease.

Overall, 42% of Americans said they approved of Trump's performance in office, and 53% said they disapproved. The president's popularity has remained relatively flat for more than a year.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll was conducted online, in English, throughout the United States. It gathered responses from 1,215 American adults, including 1,015 who identified as registered voters. It had a credibility interval, a measure of precision, of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

of course they can be and they can be correct, but anyone who is trying to flaunt a poll at this stage is simply being duped into thinking they mean anything. That's why I responded with a different poll just to show maggie.
I think in 2016 there were a bunch of closet Trump voters from WI, PN, MI and it was more of vote against Clinton too. Doubt that happens this time around unless Joe really blows it?
Its critical that he selects the right VP candidate too.

I think more GOP regulars are going to stay closeted and vote against Trump when it counts....he's accomplished the two things they wanted all along....tax breaks for the wealthy and a stacked Supreme Court...he's now like a useless appendage that can go off the rails too often. I think the polls at this point are like the Dow index.....a fucking yo yo.....do our grandchildren a favor and vote the fuckstick out of office in November...it's obviously clear why and yeah....nobody is thrilled about Joe...but given the alternative...we now have the opposite of a "stable genius" calling the shots.

Single polls (in either direction) don't mean much. It's the total weight of all the recent polls, especially when sample size and house effect are taken into account, that tells you something about where the race is. Partisans can always cherry pick a single poll that says what they want to hear. And "internal polling" by campaigns are nearly always bullshit--they almost always paint a far rosier picture for them than the reality.

Also while national polling tends to be relatively accurate (and was in 2016 too), you need to look at individual state polling in "tipping point" states to have an idea about how the electoral college might go, if the election looks at all close. Right now, it's too early to have lots of good state-level polling for the general election.

Well, as long as we are using polls.

Biden 56% among women voters

trump 36% among women voters.

This was conducted by Monmouth and after the sexual allegations came out about Biden.

This is really stupid, man. Seriously there is no way to actually gauge death by “Presidential inactivity”.

Please please understand this is a PR stunt. This guy is literally trying to use thousands of people’s deaths to his political advantage and to get attention for himself. It’s actually quite repulsive.

So is what Trump is doing to America. During a pandemic, Trump literally told governors to fend for themselves. Then states and cities had to fight each other, as well as countries around the world for equipment they needed during a national emergency that Trump himself declared. This in turn made Trump's friends even richer as they gouged everyone for their much needed equipment. That is as low and corrupt as it gets, in my opinion. Trump is working against the best interests of Americans, during a national emergency.

So please please don't tell me about right and wrong...

Lordy, I have truly missed your daily propaganda machine (seriously). This lock down was getting awfully boring.
