Politics Turning GA, NC, NV, and/or PA into victory (Biden vs Trump, 2020 election!)

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Town hall meetings, governer Q and A sessions have been online in Lane County for a couple of decades now....also on radio....you can use social media to teach school today....if people watch town hall meetings they're probably doing it online....especially during a pandemic....and just please understand that citizens who take issue with Trump have reasoning behind their complaints...it's not blind hate...you keep saying that but it's based upon his own words and actions....not partisan prejudice......and not all from democrats.....Trump was impeached by Congress...that's not media...that's law.....the way he got out of it was unconstitutional....and then there's purely the lying....in my camp that doesn't get swept under the rug with reasonable doubt....adults form opinions in a less shallow fashion than you generally allude to. You do not have to agree with my views or subscribe to them but they should generate respect at least

of course.
But social media is run by private biased conglomerates. When someoen says social media i think of twitter. Snapchat. Facebook.

not the internet.

they have some crossover and we can argue the details and symantics all day.
Im not putting my trust into my social media feed. As a matter of fact i deleted them off my phone.

I'm a little puzzled by the Bill Clinton commentary here. Didn't we find out about the Lewinsky thing after he was reelected?

barfo

Not going to waste my time bro. Forgot who I was trying to speak to. Continue supporting a racist hate monger. Typical.....
Lol.
Me thinks you forget a great deal more than thst.
But thanks for the laugh. And more inaccurate staples...

and some of you consider yourself informed. But cant even keep up on this board.
Hilarious.

Personally I believe from Trump's words and actions since the 70s to the present that he's a racist His own family members, sister and neice, his personal fixer, lawyer and many, many of his cabinet members have said he is.......he uses racist terms...derogatory speeches against Muslims, Hispanics, Chinese....etc.....if a person supports him it's entirely fair to say they are supporting a racist....it's not fair to say they "are" a racist themselves...

in the 'electoral-college-sucks-ass' category:

nationally, the lead for Biden is 3 million votes

There are millions of outstanding votes in California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, & Washington. And on average, Biden has been winning around 60% of the votes in those states, and an even higher percentage of absentee/early votes.

that means Biden should end up winning the popular vote by 5-6 million. Maybe closer to 6 than 5.

not sure what the reasons are but the vote counting in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Caroline seem stalled.

I think what you're missing here is that those of us that voted against Trump feel that he's corrupted, incompetent, and a malignantly vile individual that empowers bigots and racists to spread their hate.

I'm sorry if that annoys you.

doesnt annoy me at all.

just funny when some of those people call myself and others idiots or uninformed or whatever and they tote using social media as a way for the youth to find role models...

i like how the talking point is being moved though in order to make it look like im missing something. (Not just by you).

The social media role model thing doesn't even matter in the end.

Supporting a racist and a bigot DOES matter in the end. (Not saying you do, just making sure the focus stays on the fact that there's a racist and a bigot among other things in that house)

sure. But im not the one who brought social media up.
I merely said getting news to determine a role model via social media os not a great way to find quality role models.
I also question 12 and under focusing on politics over pop culture, toys, sports etc.

Sure, maybe there are anomalies but really... How many children under 12 do you think are more concerned about who is president over what toys will be under the xmas tree this year?

They can be concerned about more than 1 thing. I don't know what toys under a tree has to do with the discussion. But I think a LOT of kids 12 and under are aware of the presidency and have a general concern about who it is and how they act.

My point still stands.

Focus on the issue that really matters. Getting that racist and bigot out of that house.

kids under 12 and where thier mind goes to.
Xmas gifts. Who the next president is.
You dont get why i brought up the toys?

Anyhow we shall just need to agree to disagree. 9 nieces and nephews and i spoke to them all on the phone this last week. Ages from 14-6. Not one mention voting, politics or the pres.

A couple mentioned school. But mostly it was all about their new dog for a couple. Where they will go for thanksgiving and what im getting them for xmas.
The average child is a child.
A child. Not a politician, nor should they be that involved. Their knowledge of politics and its history cant be extensive enough to come to an informed opinion unless they are towing the coattails of their parents as an influence.. which is very common.

he will be gone in four years max. My issues that matter to me for this country go much further out than that.
But i can see another wasted four yeRs of get trump out instead of just moving on to try to improve anything.. as if getting rump out solves anything long term

What matters to me is getting the money out of politics. Campaign finance reform.
Not another's opinion on someone being a racist or bigot.
To me, all this focus on trump is just pushing the real political issues under the rug.

well you said the populace as a whole doesn't have an informed enough opinion to elect the president, so why does it matter if children have a fully formed opinion of the president. They don't have to view his voting record to think role model or not. They can see he is a beligerent ass hole and say hey, I get in trouble for acting that way, this guy shouldn't. Or, conversely, hey, that's the way you become powerful in this country! Yell over people and belittle their opinions.

Nobody said anything about "getting news on social media" . These kids are straight up seeing videos of Trump supporters bullying/harassing those who don't believe the way they do. They show the president of the US calling vets losers and suckers. Vets who died in wars just like there dads and grandfathers. They see the leader of the free world in a press conference making fun and mocking people who wear masks during a global pandemic. Bro I could go on for days and weeks with examples of how this asshat is a HORRIBLE role model whether you think he is one or not.

You obviously don't have children. You don't give them enough credit for being aware of their surroundings. Unreal.......

children need and deserve quality role models.
Now please show me a large sect of children who watch politics and think the president is thier role mode over pop culture stars and athletes?

i get what your saying but i dont think children look to politicians to be role models unless thier family/ parents are actually politicians. Now age is a factor. im guessing on 12 and under?
C'mon? I grew up knowing everything about JFK from PT 109 to "Ask not what your country can do for you...."
I had everything memorized by 10 years old. Just like knowing the astronauts.

This is more important to me than the damn economy or foreign policy. ......allowing a generation of children to grow up thinking you can be cruel and hateful to other humans AND NOT WEAR A MASK is going to be far more detrimental!
