I think that's unfair
this is an unprecedented situation. there were 100 million early, absentee, and mail-in votes. I think that was 3 or 4 times more than normal. And this came in the middle of a pandemic. How many experienced election workers are in quarantine right now
so then, elections offices had to prepare for not only a massive change in ballot delivery, but to also remodel all their elections offices to accomodate social distancing to protect all those worker, many of whom are just volunteers....thousands of them
and in any state that has a legislative or executive segment controlled by Republicans, election budget have been cut, and that is in the face of the pandemic. And we know the R's will almost always oppose any measure that improves election efficiency
in these conditions, asking people to works 30 consecutive hours because we are impatient for results makes no sense.
if you want to blame the politicians, that's fine. But I'm seeing a lot of election worker trashing and I think it's bullshit
