In an era where many players give a half-hearted effort, or just decide not to play for months (or seasons) at a time because of some nagging injury, Twin comes to play every day, and gives it his all despite injury-induced limitations. He stands in and gets battered blue by larger, stronger, physical players, but doesn't complain and gets back up. He gets elbowed in the head on every possession when facing Shaq, because it's his job, and gets called a "flopper" as a result. He's fearless, and continues to play hard despite obvious pain, and possibly chronic nerve and leg problems that could haunt him the rest of his life . . . yet all he gets from Nets fans is insults and complaints. He deserves credit, and a standing ovation.

yes, he deserves credit, i gotta give him credit for playing thru injury, but...wouldn't it be better to have a healthy, not-injured collins..?

It depends what that player does, but regardless, it's a different issue. I personally think Collins works best alongside the starting unit, and would prefer to use him as the starting center, let him play 16 minutes a game, and bring Krstic off the bench.

and i agree with that, i think it'd be great to bring krstic off the bench. but, of course, it's very doubtful that will happen, right? because, remember...when krstic was healthy, didn't frank use him in the post at the start of games? and, wouldn't it be good strategy to start out the games by throwing the ball to an inside player? correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think Jamaal Magloire is all that great in the post on offense.

normally, i'd be all for a scoring punch off the bench, but i'm not too sure it should be krstic.
