Apparently it is funded in large part by George Kaiser, who was a primary bundler for the Obama/Biden campaign in 2008.

President Obama is still on the front page of the Solyndra website as of today. $535 million wasted in one year in a "no-bid" money grab to an Obama bundler. Hell, at least Halliburton provides a service that is proven over time.
