“When I walked into the offices of government ministers in Europe, or the United States, back in the early days talking about sanctioning Russia — it’s like I walked in with a giant turd on my head,” Browder said.
It's painfully obvious we should be ramping up nuclear power generation in every country, using mechanical energy storage to handle peak demand wherever possible.Don't Use Russia's War on Ukraine to Expand Fossil Fuels, Green Groups Tell US and EU
"Any expansion of fossil fuel infrastructure in the United States and Europe will rob us of our last chance to avert climate chaos, and continue the decades of harm done to frontline communities."

If even then. Fossil fuel companies have done an amazing job of tricking people into thinking solar and wind are great (because you'll still need fossil fuel for peaks). It's painfully obvious, but it won't happen for likely a decade.

If we'd have just kept up with nuclear we'd be so much further ahead...

I agree. I also believe that liberals are the ones primarily responsible for our country not keeping up with nuclear development.
There wouldn't be any one nuclear source. There would be thousands. And you would use solar, wind, tidal, geothermal, and hydro power as well as mechanical storage to handle to handle peaks.I'm going to disagree there. Over dependence on any one source is a bad idea.
The US military has never had an accident with any of their nuclear reactors. Why? Were liberals the only ones to see that the reality of nuclear power had not kept up with the hype?
To work, you have to have a system that guarantees that plants are designed, built, and operated safely. You also need to do the same with disposal of the waste. There is ZERO room for compromise, cutting corners, or putting profit before safety. The risks involved are too serious to be ignored.
Russia is the first Navy in history to have its flag ship sunk in battle....by an enemy not currently operating any ships. This happened several hours ago but not on USA media. Ukraine has struck the russian flagship missile battleship Moskva with two Ukrainian made Neptune missles. The ammunition on the ship has been ignited and the ship is on fire, the crew is evacuating. This is a great military victory. russia may have to withdraw all their ships to the southern part of the Black Sea, making them ineffectual. This is confirmed by Tass. How violent will be Putler's angry response??

Russian media report: "We are the first ones ever to have successfully converted our flag ship into a submarine, using the magic of fire. Long live comrade Putin!"Russia is the first Navy in history to have its flag ship sunk in battle....by an enemy not currently operating any ships.
He's not wrong...Chomsky on Global Response to Biden Calling Putin a War Criminal: 'Takes One to Know One'
The dissident says that while outraged by Russia's war on Ukraine, much of the rest of the world is reacting to U.S. condemnation by asking, "Why should we get involved in your hypocrisy?"

Next they will claim the Easter Bunny was among the casualties!
