I'm gonna get killed for this.

I'm still gonna have love for Bron.

I have always loved and respected his game. Even if I disagree with some of his politics at times. I have a good deal of respect for him off the court as well. I don’t want the Lakers to win a game though. :)

I assume you meant Rozier, and that is beyond ridiculous. Brown still plays a similar amount of minutes. Essentially, your substituting Hayward for Ojeleye and Smart (to some extent) as well as other lesser players (since Boston has many guys with positional versatility, minutes can be attributed in any which way).

Kyrie had better stats than Dame last year. Not saying he's better, but he's definitely Dame-level. You seriously don't think there's a big drop off between Kyrie feakin' Irving and Terry freakin' Rozier?!

C'mon dude.

And excuses don't win games. If Toronto collapses mentally against Cleveland, who's to say they'll be mentally prepared to handle Boston in the ECF?

Not to mention that Boston still has Rozier and Brown. How are they not much better when they have those two guys coming off the bench now?

Well 15 teams had at least one win in the playoffs, Blazers had 0. :). I think the Blazers are slightly above average.
If 15 teams had at least one Playoff win, and we were not one of them, then that would make us below average.

Dame.

LBJ IS a great player. I would just expand upon/edit slightly what u said in the other post; I would say he can play BUT I don't like any of his antics:wink:
Fair enough! I wouldn’t be surprised if one could find Dame maybe playing up the contact a bit. I wouldn’t call myself a LBJ fan, he’s just so freaking good and most of the time fun to watch.

So... you've "always loved & respected" this...?:tongue2:

Some of these have exaggerated contact.
But most of them are actually fouls which wouldn't be called without the exaggerated contact.

The ones on PG and West are clear flops.
But the others, just because LeBron is big and a little guy runs him over, instead of going around a screen. Doesn't mean it's not a foul.

Lots of flops a few actual fouls

It is unpopular to think that every Mrs. HCP joke has been told and you have something not only original but funny.

Lots of flops a few actual fouls

I'm not going to watch the video again.
But irrc everyone of them until the pg13 flop was an actual foul so.
You can talk about how you don't like it called that way, but todays NBA those are all legit fouls.

Toronto is going to the NBA Finals in 2019. Boston is overrated.
Wow. This one I can't get behind.

Let's assume that a team 1 game from the Finals gets adds to its team an all-NBA PG and it's All-Star SF, added to two breakout players. Maybe they get re-injured. Maybe they suck.

But are we assuming that Brad Stevens had a heart attack? He's by FAR the best coach in the EC. And if Pop wasn't sitting in SAS, I might not have that qualifier. How are they overrated?

Changing out Kyrie for Frazier and Hayward for Brown doesn't make Boston much better if at all. They were 1 game away from Finals in weak conference. Toronto would've swept them. Toronto just had major mental hangup over Cavs.

.... Doesn't make them much better? Are Kyrie and Hayward two-way contract players?

How is Brad Stevens the best coach in the East when Casey won Coach of the Year? And when the coaches voted, he didn't get any votes. Kyrie wasn't All-NBA last year. Why would he be this year?

It doesn't make them better. There are a finite amount of minutes to go around. More Hayward is less Brown and Tatum and that's not necessarily a good thing.

Blazers have an injury riddled season and miss the playoffs. Then get a master stroke of luck and get the #1 pick in the draft.

Then in a wildly crazy turn of events instead of choosing SF Nassir Little from North Carolina the Blazers go with the wild possibility of greatness and go for Oregon Duck center Bol Bol.
When training camp starts Bol Bol immediately starts to complain of severe knee pain and is forced to undergo surgery missing his first year and possibly ending his career.

You did say unpopular right?

Dude...

As Blazer fans, we should no not to judge the ability of someone based of accolades.

Dames always been a star, right?

Wrong.

Semi Ojeleye, 73 games, 15.8mpg
Daniel Thies, 63 games, 14.9mpg
Shane Larkin, 54 games, 14.3mpg
Abdel Nader, 48 games, 10.9mpg

That means less minutes for these guys, not Tatum or Brown. That means it's an upgrade. Plus, they'll be fresh come playoffs.

I’ve actually heard National People say Brad Stevens isn’t liked among his peers very much because they feel like he didn’t have to work his way up the way others did and how quickly he has had success. This was a radio interview on one of The morning ESPN guys shows a couple months ago.

I still believe in Dame and CJ.
To be fair I do too, but they need the right guys around them. The problem from my perspective is using CJ in a trade seems like their best shot to get a a big “upgrade”. Which is why I always go back to I don’t mind trading CJ for the right guy or package but I think that Portland can win with those two guys if they put the right talent around them.
