I like Rogue One.... but anything "new" that they have come up with has been complete trash with zero story or character development. I look at Rogue One as a movie that was piggy backing off the Original Trilogy, but the new universe that they're building has been a total stinker.

The problem is that Pacific Theater war movies are not good (unless they're about the Naval conflicts.)

It was a dirty, nasty, horrible war that was fought in the mud on tiny islands, and both sides did some nasty shit. I didn't like Windtalkers. I didn't like The Pacific. I didn't like Hacksaw Ridge.

Actually, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima were decent, but I hated Thin Red Line as well.
 
I don't know if this is unpopular or not.

I will say no the next time a stranger asks me in a book store, "Can I share your space?"

I said yes being the nice person I am. The young lady eventually wanted my space and me out of it while I was still looking at books. I told her, "you can go around me and look as I am still looking at books in this section."

She then got pissy and said a few immature things before going to another section of the store.

I was raised to be patient while waiting for others to finish perusing if I wanted to look at the same book section of books.

No more sharing my space with a stranger!

LaMarcus Aldridge doesn't deserve the level of vitriol he gets around here.

Pizza Hut has better tasting meat sauce than the Spaghetti Factory.

Coors Light tastes good.

Damian Lillard looks ridiculous in a suit with a bare chest.

Mike and Mike were WAY better than Calabro and Hurd.

The new red uniforms are terrible.

Michael Jackson was a child rapist.

Even if the absolute worst things the left says about President Trump are true, we're still better off than we would have been had Hillary Clinton won.

I uh don't want to say this in light of recent events but Pit Bulls should be extremely limited as far as breeding goes. I don't want to euthanize any pets...just want them to be super rare.

They're often super sweet animals. They're like fast cars though, tons of people can't handle them.

I think tipping is stupid.

Here's why: At one restaurant, dinner costs me, say, $50. 15% = $7.50. I go to another restaurant and spend $100. Same basic service, but because I spent more I have to tip double - $15. For what? because I spent more on dinner?

All of that said, I use to be a server, so I tip good. But it's still a lame system.

I largely agree. Right now, Rogue One is the only good Disney Star Wars movie to me and it is tempting to conclude that it's the exception because it's an expansion of existing story. On the other hand, they did have to create that expansion themselves (as far as I know, none of what was in Rogue One had been previously established beyond the Death Star existing and the plans for it stolen) and the style was new. So I'll still give Disney some credit for that. But the new story arc has been...unexciting. IMO.

While I agree that the tip system is dumb, I don't think it's dumb for that reason. If the tip system didn't exist and everything was in the waiters' wages, the waiters in a fancy restaurant would still be paid more than the waiters in a normal restaurant. So, in effect, you'd still be paying them more because you spent more on dinner. It would just all be part of the bill.
 
My unpopular opinion is that the Beatles were only pretty good, not great.

I ate at a restaurant in Portland and they had a separate tip line for the kitchen in additiokn to the service. Food was on fucking point so I didn't mind paying (Shalom Y'all). Next time I'll just pay cash though
