Yeah, I agree with all of that. I was more ribbing him for the if/than statement.Bernie stated a fact. Amazon can afford to give it's employees a $5 per hour raise. You seem to be the one doing math.
America went from baby boomers having unions that allowed them to sit at the bargaining table when it came to their future. Amazon, and too many corporations have taken away workers rights to decide their future pay, life style, etc., by destroying unions in this country. Young Americans have less bargaining rights than their grandparents did at their same age. When boomers were young, they could get good paying union jobs, because many of the largest employers in America... were unionized. Nowadays most of the largest companies in America , don't have unions, and actively bust them by hiring union busting firms.
Americans should have a say about their futures. Corporations don't seem to see humans as worthy of a future, or a life for that matter.

I don't disagree at all. Just pointing out that the math doesn't add up as Bernie suggested it would.So what? Profit is just a euphemism for theft. They deserve those wages.

Having the benefit of the best natural advantages (which have resulted in the best technology and financial advantages) doesn't give us the excuse to be evil.
