Do you go to local music concerts? If so, what kind?

  • Never, I hate music. I'm here for sports, moron!

  • Rarely to once in a while, if it's something special

  • Sometimes, when I know the band that is playing

  • Sometimes, even when I don't know who is playing

  • I'm out most weekends at one show or another

  • I only go to see national acts touring through town

  • I only go to see local bands starting out

  • I go out based on the genre of music (i.e. Blues,Jazz, Country Clubs)

  • I only go to metal shows

  • I go to all genres as long as it's good music

Comparing Queensryche to Soundgarden? I don't hear it (except maybe Cornell vs Tate....a little). Love both bands though.

One is more raw and real and the other is more produced.

I was trying to provide the two as an example of how we are more raw like Soundgarden than produced like Queensryche. This person was from Seattle, so I thought it a great reference, until I couldn't think of one of the bands' names. lol.

Oh, yeah, you'd be correct in that regard.

I was there at the gorge.
You are right. You did look like a hot girl!

So funny, me and my brother went camping there so we got absolutely fucking wasted and just basically walked to the very front section right past all the ushers and some security gate they had set up. (had GA tickets way at the top on the lawn).

I had bought tickets to the Hollywood Bowl show but no one wanted to go...so I sold them and for what I sold them in profit I was able to buy tickets to the show in Washington as well as a flight to Seattle and booze money haha

Yeah, Im in between Stark and Division one block from David Douglass. Never been to Dukes, but 10 years ago, used to see the cops there often and had a friend who loves country and said he gets into alot of fights there. Maybe things have been cleaned up a bit.

Just got back from the Duke's concert. It was awesome. Luke Combs played acoustic his entire set. No fights or anything. Nice people just having a good time.

In Nashville currently. Broadway is jammed packed as the Predators are in the NHL playoffs. Every bar is jammed packed and I've seen at least 4 bands so far. And it's only 4 pm. If the Predators win it's gonna get even crazier. This town is awesome! And so is the music.
My fam is from there, I've been to Nashville plenty of times growing up. Hope you got to experience a Tennessee thunderstorm!

I remember walking the neighborhood with my dad, a Mason jar in my hands, searching for lightning bugs(fireflies). I love that part of the south. My Gram is buried in Coffee county. I hope to make a trip back there as an adult, I haven't been to Tennessee in a decade.

Going to chris brown with the wife next week.

Week after going to see Luke Combs at Duke's.

Then seeing Incubus and Jimmy Eat World in August.

Used to go to Midnight Round-up a bunch in Gresham before they demolished the building and put in a killer burger and mod pizza. A band played there a couple times. A cover band that we all enjoyed.

Is all your stuff original or do you do any covers?

Oh, and went to Tom Green this last weekend at helium. He was awesome. Not music, but you included comedy :P. Love going to Helium.

I'll be going to see Incubus in August too. My all time favorite band. Will be my 7th time seeing them.

8 was a solid album, too. I really like it.

I'm heading to the Rock Hard PDX tonight with some friends to check out a buddy and long time local musician in his new band, "Goats On Bellemont" for their first show. Pretty much straight up punk, but they are good and put on a good show.

Swil will be opening up for cloudship. A touring act from Cali, on Tuesday June 20th at the ash st saloon downtown.

Should be a good show with quality alternative rock music.

I met up with UCD in NOLA. We took a day drive into Ocean Springs, MS. Drove back to NOLA along the Gulf Coast. We got to experience a Gulf Coast thunderstorm. Holy shit! Two hours of torrential downpour. It was dark as night at noon. Even after the rained stopped, the thunder continued the occasional roar for hours.

Going to see Santana next weekend. Might have to see George Thorogood and the Destroyers in September since it's all of 20 minutes from my house.
I saw George Thorogood in San Diego opening for Jim Croce....turned out to be Jim Croce's last show...he died on his way to the next one that night in a small plane...great talent
