Quote:

The mere thought of Vince Carter wearing a Knicks uniform once seemed as far-fetched as Shaquille O'Neal ending up in Miami.
But in today's NBA, where the league's most dominant player can be traded without the Miami Heat having to give up its best player, anything is possible, including Carter ending up in New York.

Despite the declaration Wednesday from Toronto general manager Rob Babcock that Carter will return next season, a person close to the Raptors' All-Star swingman insists that Carter is trying to force a trade to New York.

Well in the Raptors thread there was an article saying that VC isn't going anywhere, him and the Gm had a meeting and they are now on the same page.

Only person in New York worth to trade for Carter is Marbury, and I doubt Marbury wants to move to Toronto. I want to see Vince get traded, but I doubt it will be to New York.

I dont think hes worth Starbury maybe houstan or Kurt thomas but I dont wanna see kurt go. maybe they could trade houstan if Vince demands a trade.

Even Though I Hate Vince Carter And I Think He's Overrated, I Do Think That We Need To Upgrade At The SF Position...
Hardly Seems Possible Though Unless Another Team Is Involved...
We Really Have Nothing To Offer Any Team...

All the trade rumours about VC coming out are BS

I dont think he will isiah has to much on his head right now to be tring to get carter as well. He cant even land crawford and dampier at this point let alone arrange a trade with toronto to bring VC to new york. VC wont demand a trade imo all these rumors have been going around about how he wants to leave the raptors for the knicks, mavs, nets, sixers, and all those teams yet you have not heard anything come out of his mouth.

Does he really want to be traded from toronto just because he said he is not happy with new managment. He has never said I want out of toronto straight out of his mouth you have heard unnamed sources and reporters say it, but nothing from him. Then again he has never said I want to stay in toronto either. Mabye that is because he expected people to know or mabye he just wants to see how things play out, but right now imo its just the media adding fuel to a small blaze and making it grow.

Why does the New York media think that just because they want a player they can get them by making up a rumour?

Other than Marbury, there is no player that we would want off the Knicks. It's no coincidence that Isiah is having trouble getting trades done. They really don't have any appealing players with reasonable contracts that other teams would want.

Now I have heard that he still wants a trade is expected to publicly announce it at his Charity Game.

^ why would he do that AT his own charity game in toronto?

doing that would be like slapping the fans in the face str8 up

Like I've said before. Call me crazy, but the Knicks will acqiure Jamal Crawford in a Sign & Trade. Then package him off to Toronto For Vincanity. This is the 4th time I've posted this comment. Remember I said this again, cause this will happen!!!

Now why would Crawford want to be packaged in a trade to Toronto after being signed to a team (NY) that he wants to be in?? You would think that maybe Jamal would have a problem with that no?

And what is with New York and trade rumours? The only attractive commodity they have is Stephon and he is not goin anywhere. Mr. Thomas has painted himself into a corner and does not have much to work with at all in NY. Bad contracts will be the death of Isaiah and the Knicks for a long time coming.

BTW please don't bring up Vince rumours if Marbury is not involved, you know and I know a trade ain't happening if he is not part of the deal

IM pretty sure he isnt going to announce it right in front of his fans maybe like a press confrence after the game or something.

lol.. another one of these newyork writers... y is every1 all of a sudden demanding a trade to ny? lol next kevin garnett is gunna b in ny.. vince dont even like the spotlight y wud he go to ny?

Vince demands a trade

He demanded a trade to the Knicks today, what are the chances that he will go to New York?

FoxSports

He's welcome here in NY. But I hope we give up Houstan and some others. And Carter and some fillers so contracts match. Yea and I hope we dont give up our Best player in Marbury. I also hope he doesnt get injured ever again if he comes to the knicks.

It doesn't matter that it's better than Marbury or JC. The Raptors aren't even going to pick up the phone if Allen Houston is part of the deal.

no way we would take Houston and his 18.5 million contract. If you guys don't want him what makes you think that we would want him?

only way Vince is going to NY is if they trade Marbury which isn't going to happen.

So I doubt Vince will be coming to NY york because Isiah Thomas will probably not trade Marbury or JC. I have a feeling that the Raps might be looking to try to get Kurt Thomas so they could have a quality Center

yeah i ahve to say zero, i mean now that the knicks got crawford i doubt they want carter and i mean how, they basica;lyl dont have much to trade anymore that isiah would give up

Vince in Knicks uniform???

Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) - Vince Carter has four years left on his contract with the Toronto Raptors, but the five-time All-Star may not be with the team for that long.

It has been widely rumored that Carter is interested in the New York Knicks, and his agent told the Daily News of New York that Carter asked the Raptors to deal him.

"We did meet and asked them to look into trades," agent Mark Steinberg told the paper for Thursday's editions. "They know where we stand."

Steinberg was overseas Thursday and unavailable for comment. A phone message was left with an assistant.

The Knicks wouldn't confirm Thursday whether they have talked with the Raptors about Carter.

"He's not a free agent. We're not allowed to talk to other teams' players," Knicks spokesman Joe Favorito said. "I'm not even aware of anything with the Raptors."

Carter, who averaged 22.5 points last season, was reportedly angry the team didn't consult him on the hiring of general manager Rob Babcock and coach Sam Mitchell, who replaced Kevin O'Neill after the Raptors missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season. The Raptors will be playing with their third new coach in three seasons.

Babcock, who met with Carter last week, has expressed confidence that Carter will be a Raptor next season and described those meetings as "positive." Raptors spokesman Michael Cvitkovic said Thursday that Babcock still considers Carter an integral part of the team.

If he is dealt, Carter would be among the recent NBA stars who have forced management to make the move. With one year left on their contracts, Shaquille O'Neal and Tracy McGrady lobbied hard for their trades to Miami and Houston, respectively. Carter's contract with Toronto is through the 2008 season.

i doubt it sgoing to happen. at least this year at least. i mean the knicks ahve other concerns like dampier right now

Man these rumours have been posted 5 times a day. There's nothing to it. Although Vince may want to be traded we wont trade him until his value is higher. Even if Marbury is a possible player heading to TO in the deal, it aint gonna happen.
