I'd like that even more, but I seriously doubt that Toronto would. The difference between Travis and Rudy is significant enough to stall the deal. Toronto might go for it if Bosh makes it very clear to them that he would not re-sign with them. But even then, I think other teams might be able to come up with a better offer.
I think to Toronto, getting Rudy is almost as important as getting LaMarcus. Colangelo envisions his team to play Euro style basketball, and Rudy would be the perfect fit for that style. Sending Sergio Toronto's way would mean that Toronto would have three backcourt players that was on the Spain National Team. Getting a European coach next season, Toronto would be well on its way of forming an all-Euro team.
I forgot to note that we would only do this deal if we receive assurance from Bosh that he would re-sign with us. Better yet, have Bosh extend his contract this summer (he's qualified) before we'd do the trade. No way would I risk all that without knowing for sure that Bosh is ours for at least the next 5 years or so.
I actually (1) don't hate this deal, and (2) think it's reasonable. Rare.
Very impressive trade idea. It makes sense for both teams. I would be very happy to get bosh but very dissapointed to lose LA and Rudy, a very fair trade.
However, I would like to point out that this would not fix all our problems since our big three is already pretty darn good. It's our SF and PG situation that really needs the upgrade. The fact is that Bosh is a little upgrade over LA, but not such a huge upgrade that it would eclipse our other woes.

No thanks. LMA is on his way to being a player of Bosh's caliber. Plus throw in Rudy...that's just asking to bite us in the ass.
Yes, I think Bosh makes us a better team this year, as well the foreseeable future. Bosh is better than LaMarcus now, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
