This game scares the crap out of me. There's no doubt that the Ducks players have that Oklahoma State loss fresh on their collective minds.

I used to joke with my wife, to charter a single engine Cessna and drop my ashes over the stadium and field. LOL.

ABM - some of the players were tweeting about it. They def know but I think Coach Kelly has these kids focused. We don't lose at Autzen!!

See... this is exactly why I don't care about style points. I feel the same way. I just want to beat the snot out of USC and cruise to an easy win.

Nah, remember we can still impress for success at the Pac 12 championship game. More voters will be watching that game because there will be a ton fewer games that weekend. If we only get the win and not any style points we still have a strong shot at the Natty. This crazy college football season favors these crazy Ducks!

I see your point, but disagree. Doesn't matter where you go - USC is USC. This game comes on at 8, ET. ABC here on the East. I think, with the recent Okie St loss, more people are tuning into this to see who Oregon is now, vs who they were in week 1.

Most of the guys I work with are SEC yokes. They took notice last week vs Stanford and are talking about watching this USC game closely to see what Oregon can do.

I think that beating the snot out of them and getting style points would be the same thing.

The point is that while no one should complain about a close win, a close win won't do us a lot of good in trying to reach the BCS Championship game.

Not bravado, just pointing out that just because we don't get "Style Points" doesn't mean we can't get back to the Natty. Go and read the different threads in this forum about us playing in the Natty. Of all of the scenarios people posted no one, no one guessed that the one thing that would give us the biggest boost would happen and that was OSU chumping their game last night. Sure, lots of people were hoping that Okie would beat Okie State but no one saw last night's loss coming.

My point is you can't throw out just one scenario and insist that that is they only way the Ducks can reach the Natty. I'm just not buying that if we don't get style points we can't finish #2 in the BCS.

Most pundits (who are the actual voters) I've read (not thread posters) are saying Oregon needs to win with dominance and style - in order to get votes. If it's coming from the voters, well, it's coming from the voters.

We need to prove we deserve to be there. How do you do that, when there are several other one loss teams? With style wins to close the season.

I'd say beating the snot out of USC is winning by 2 touchdowns and resting LMJ and DT for the 4th qrt. Style points would be to keep them on the field, have LMJ rush for 300+ yards while we win by 30pts.
