This is what we ended up booking, very reasonable. Going to call them this afternoon when I'm not with the gf to see what kind of engagement hookup they can provide. Thanks again.
I hope it is as good as I remember (it's been a few years). It was a good place to sit on the balcony with a beer and watch the boats and float planes come and go. Plus the room was outstanding. Anyway, enjoy yourself..........................and hope she says "yes"!
Edit: My wife reminded me that we not only saw a guy propose to his girlfriend sitting on that balcony, a day or two later another couple had a small wedding on the property (just the couple and the officiant). So Laurel Point is probably all in on that kind of stuff.

Just did a short trip to southern oregon. Yeah we planned it before the forecast came out, it was 112 yesterday. We went to Crater Lake , then a night in Roseburg and hit the Wildlife Safari first thing as they opened then back to the Oregon Vortex and a drive home. The Wildlife safari was great, if you have kids a great trip. The Vortex was interesting, but would have been better it if hadn't been so hot.

The weather is perfect and we got an upgraded room at the Inn at Laural Point. Excellent recommendation by UCD. We have been watching the seaplanes come in and out. Perfect day!!

You should propose again once you get back over the border just to make sure you're engaged in both countries.

I told her we're going straight to the courthouse when we get back to Oregon. I gotta lock it down before she changes her mind!

So..........................................does that mean I'm invited to the nuptials.........? If only for a photo bomb moment........?

Gotta say, I flew Spirit to Dallas last weekend and it actually wasn't bad. I upgraded to the big seat in the front of the plane, but the plane was on time, the flight attendants were good, etc. Had an empty seat next to me on the flight home (wife flew home the next day).

I think its because it was so expensive to fly there and back, it cut down on the riff raff on the plane.

Shit, I'd heard people talk about Spirit making passengers fly the planes, but I thought it was just a joke.

Took a couple trips this summer, one home to surprise dad for Fathers Day (hadn't celebrated that with him in over a dozen years), went to Wichita for a family reunion and then capped it off with St. Louis for about a week. The wife was working at a conference for teachers so we tacked on a few days. The Arch was cool, especially with a hotel room overlooking it as well. Had some decent BBQ, did the Budweiser tour and a tour of a supposedly haunted brewery not far from it and found some good eateries/bars. I will say after last summer doing a sunset cruise on Lake Michigan and then down the Columbia, the riverboat cruise on the Mississippi in STL left a lot to be desired! Both of us left feeling like we'd done pretty much all St. Louis had to offer and probably won't be spending much more time there, only thing we missed out on was a Cardinals game.

Time for honeymoon planning! We are thinking Hawaii but our tix are going to be paid for so we could really go anywhere. Thought about somewhere in Europe but would prefer a more relaxing experience instead of being on a schedule trying to see everything there is over there. Also that's a lot of extra travel time we would like to avoid. Fiji? Samoa?

2 weeks ago, for a date in Oct flights to HNL were $270 RT now they are over $400 for the same flight. Dammit lol.

How long are you going to be away for? Whats your vibe? Relax on a beach all day and do activities?

I'd probably do Fiji/Tahiti.

Mid January, mostly we just want to relax and chill. Definitely not looking for popping night life or anything.
