Van Horn for Tim Thomas?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LOS ANGELES - Isiah Thomas acknowledged that he is interested in signing Vin Baker, but the Knicks president refused to confirm that he had spoken to the Bucks about a deal that would send Keith Van Horn to Milwaukee for Tim Thomas.
"That's a rumor and at this time of year you hear a lot of them," Thomas said yesterday.

In order to make a Van Horn-Thomas swap work within the salary cap, other players would have to be added or the Knicks and Bucks would have to include a third team. Thomas and Van Horn were traded once before, on Draft night in 1997.</div>

We do need a scoring PF/C I guess we could replace Van Horn with Anderson or Hardaway.

He is? Did he change his position this year because when I played NBA Live 2003, he was a PF for the bucks.

Knicks Trade

I just heard on ESPNEWS that the Knicks have completed a three way trade with Milwaukee and Atlanta, in return for KVH they get Tim Thomas and Nazr Mohammed

so who got kvh?millwaukee or atl

Milwaukee, there's no link yet on espn.com , but on ESPNEWSthey were just talking about it

If the rumors are true, I think that there is no way in hell that the Knicks DON'T make the playoffs. They're all ready to even make a run for the east, in my opinion.

Heres the full trade

Knicks get: Tim Thomas
Nazr Mohammed

Bucks get: KVH

Hawks get: Michael Doleac
Joel Pryzbilla

Keith to Milwaukee

Tim Thomas and Nazr Mohammad to NYC

Joel Pryzbilla and Michael Doleac to Atlanta

Isiah did it again. Milwaukee gets equal value, Atlanta gets two stiffs. When I heard NY did a deal involving Atlanta I expected to hear Rasheed's name involved, good deal for the Knicks nonetheless.

When I saw Thomas had been traded I was quite happy because it would mean more time for Mason in Milwaukee. This may not be the case.

Not sure if the Bucks really get better here, and with the chemistry they've shown this season it's weird that they would mess with that.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BallerAK47:</div><div class="quote_post">Damn Hawks got shafted, player wise. Must be a cap thing</div>

Well, they only traded Nazr Mohammed...so basically they traded one mediocre player for 2 other mediocre players...

Now the Bucks have Van Horn, Mason and Kukoc. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering KVH's contract and the fact that two out of those three don't play a lick of defense. This could be a prelude to another Milwaukee deal, otherwise it was quite an odd move on their part.

Poor Keith. About what, 4 teams in 3 years?

i thought KVH was playing well as of late.

Wow Isaiah did it again...getting Tim Thomas/Nazr Mohommad for KVH and Doleac?? The man is workin wonders...Nazr will be a nice backup at the 4/5 spot, and Thomas will be deadly in the open court with Marbury...

I thought Sheed was going to be named in there as well, but still a nice pull by Isiah. Tim Thomas makes a better fit for this Knicks team, he runs the floor and shoots the ball well. In good minutes, Nazr Mohammed is a solid back up Center for NY.

For the Bucks, looks like they get Keith Van Horn. Gives them a versitle player, and will also help them on the boards. I like this trade for both the Knicks and the Bucks.

Atlanta center Nazr Mohammed and Bucks forward Tim Thomas will go to New York and the Knicks will send Keith Van Horn to Milwaukee. Also, New York's Michael Doleac and Bucks center Joel Przybilla will head to Atlanta as part of the deal.

THis deal is official I believe...ehh Van Horn for Tim Thomas...I would rather have Van Horn

Line-up

PG: Stephon Marbury
SG:Allan Houston
SF:Tim Thomas
PF:Kurt Thomas
C:Dikembe Mutombo

This should be intresting.

Well guys...

I'm a hardcore Cavs fan, but today at about 5:40 I went to ESPN.com and saw the trade.

The Knicks are kicking ass now, with Tim Thomas in there now...they're going to be a force to be reckoned with. I just hope the Cavs can pull another big trade..and maybe start a Friendly Rivalry with the Knicks.

GOOD JOB!!

he will likley be signed by the knicks wendsday

good deal for the knicks i was a sceptic because of the fact that i thaught van horn was doing well but i then relized that TT is the athletic big man we needed, the man has all the potential in the world and if isah molded artest and jemaine i think TT will do prety well under the wings of Lenny and Zeke

2003. I think we thought you were referring to 2004. Anyways, I like this trade for the Knicks. They get a good rebounder in Mohammed and an athletic player who can shoot and go to the low post when asked to.

Somehow, I feel that Stephon Marbury was a part of the reason KVH was dealt. Good trade on the Knicks' behalf.

as a bucks fan, I like the trade, it works for both teams though. not that the fact you got thomas, because thomas vs KVH Straight up goes to KVH all day. But the fact you guys got Nazr. Zeke said he would have never made the trade if it was just KVH straight up for Thomas. I hope you guys don't have too many expectations for Thomas, he's a solid player with alot of talent that has gone to waste. I hear some of you calling him a big man considering he's 6'9/6'10 but he plays like he's about 6'4/6'5, i mean the guy has the perfect NBA body. but he averages under 5 RPG in over 30 mpg. don't get me wrong, I've never been a Thomas hater, and wish him well but glad to see him go. the only thing KVH lacks here is athleticism and usually when thomas trys to use that he gets out of control. Well again, thank God he's gone, this just means more for Dez mason and KVH can fill in the PF position which Thomas will never be able to play. good luck knick fans.
