Maybe because I live in Houston that I know of Maxwell and remember the times he played great d and f'd with the refs.

He help the Rockets win some rings.

Seriously though is this how bad things have gotten for this trade?? I don't think it will go down. Maybe both teams should just bow out and look at other ways to help their franchises.

Dallas should at least wait to everyone is healthy. Then see what they do in the post season this year with their current team. If it doesn't work make a change in the summer. What do you really lose anyway???

Spurs Shaq and Nash get older. The Rockets will likely break up T-mac and Yao. Denver cap is a mess. I would only be concern with the Lakers and Blazers.

LOOK AT WHAT THE kings got for a 29 year old point guard in mike bibby who also has just 1 year left on contract (14 mill compared to kidds 21 mill) they got 3 guys who will probably be cut, shelden williams whos a bust and just a 2nd round pick

if we can get devin harris and 2 1st round picks this is robbery for the 35 year old kidd.

We could use a quality guy like this in the locker room for a change. A good glue-guy.
 
I can't tell you how much I want to see a backcourt combination of Vernon Maxwell and Darrell Armstrong.

Somebody like Marko Jaric might just walk off the court and go home with those two hounding him.

Hearing two versions...which is accurate: KVH and Maxwell or Maxwell in place of KVH?

KVH can be resigned for anywhere up to $16 million. Maxwell was last a vets minimum player. I think that limits what he can be paid.
 
I don't get it. Why would maxwell even have to be included? although i think it'd be funny and honestly, i think it would be cuban's way of giving a big F U to stern for blocking stackhouse yet allowing every other bogus trade go through over the years.
 
isn't there still the roster space issue? Would the Nets have to carry Maxwell and KVH for the rest of the season, or coule they be waived/bought out immediately? What possible benefit is there to include both of them, instead of just Van Horn?

Before this deal got to this farcical level, I thought Diop or George should be sent along with Magloire to Memphis anyway, expanding the base trade to a three way so that we could get Miller and still keep Boki for the rest of the season. As disappointing as Boki has been in most games, I still think he could get on a roll, and he would be a valuable player for crucial end of game 3-point situations. So I agree that splitting the needed salary into two players for that purpose is desirable, assuming, of course, that Memphis would do it for expiring contracts and a Dallas 1st rounder.

Wow.. Imagine Vernon Maxwell on this team now.

The sad thing is, he would still probably play better perimeter defense than any of our players, and hit a shot better, too.
