Repped. Seriously, I don't normally enjoy amateur montages, but that was really, really, really well done.

That's great stuff man. Nice job!
Love the music that you put into these videos, and not like those other mixes you see with rap/hip hop in it.. but you hear the actual call of the game. Love that.
The Blazers should give you a job, that would've been a great opener before a game on the broadcast after the Houston game. A hell of a lot better than the stupid cheesy remix of that old-school Blazer theme they keep pumping out which annoys me every time they play it.

I love your videos. My goodness.......

Wow, I'll give you the ultimate compliment, "it gave me chills". Nicely done +1 rep

thanks for the feedback everyone. anyone else remember hearing wheels' call of that pippen game winner vs utah? I turned off the TV commentary and turned his on for that game

PS - anyone remember DA's game winner vs Seattle? the night after Sheed hit the GW @ GS? I was there live for that one...wanna see if anyone else was too.

I was hoping to see Sabas versus Houston in there, but it's not a sin that it's missing. Great mix!

Extremely well done, Max. That was a great trailer, you've got cinematic editing chops for sure. Nice visual touches too, with vignettes and film flashes, etc.

Are you a Final Cut guy?

I remember one where Strickland stole the ball against Houston and went the length of the floor to lay it in at the buzzer. Eddie Doucette called that one, IIRC.

hey thanks. yes I am a final cut guy. since FCP 1 when I was in middle school. been using it ever since for anything video related.

one thing I try to do is let the story and the game and the plays shine instead of the graphics and effects. i hope the vignette and flashes didnt take away from the "story" of the mix. I find that a lot of mixers today are technically amazing and their graphics are great, but it puts a huge spotlight on them instead of the basketball itself, ya know?

Fuck, you are good man! I really hope you can turn your talent into a great job, because that is A1

Freaking fantastic, man. I am impressed. You got mad skillz.

Amateur is a disservice to everything maxa has ever done.

I imagine maxiep was being literal, unless of course MaxaMillion711 was paid to produce this piece. Thus, it is an amateur mix only in the literal sense.

Las Angeles is the new capital of California *shoves Vlade Divac*

No but really, awesome as always.

Damn, FCP in middle school...I had a friend who did word processing on a computer that had this jobby "Windows 1.0" operating system when I was in middle school. 'Nuff said.

I hear you and agree completely with your philosophy. I do a lot of editing myself (FCP) and am not all that impressed with fx-for-fx-sake. What you did was tell a story and heighten the emotion of the moments portrayed. Great use of a theatrical musical score and well timed edits to the punctual moments.

Bravo.

If you could get the one that has Clyde Drexler stealing the ball with 3 seconds to go (against Philadelphia) and scoring, that would be cool.

I love the audio of Bill calling that.

I was checking out your Vince Carter Time Scars stuff. Wow, you are probably the best short film/highlight/etc... person i've seen in a while... Are you planning on going farther than youtube. Because I will tell you right now man, YOU CAN.

You have a gift my brother.

How exactly did you acquire all the raw footage to cut that piece? Just curious.

Thats exactly what im thinking, dont tell HCP though but feel free to email me the link.

No disrespect to this guy who put this together, but the portion of the piece that shows BRoy and Yao's big shots and the sped up scenics of the ROSE GARDEN for example were actually edited by me. I think it is cool that Max put all this together, but people are throwing props to this guy left and right and all he's done is just edit other peoples work together.

I can't speak for anyone else mr HCP, but I like your work.

ROSE GARDEN SHOTS: coming back from halftime on tnt, they showed a scenic shot of PDX. then, the zomming was from TNT promo before tipoff.

YAO MING SHOT: whole sequence edited from the live broadcast by myself. i chose the shots and sped up. they were from the regular slo mo replays. here are the edits so you can see what i mean

i hope you can see by my other work that I am not that kind of guy to just take other peoples edits and say they are my own. I guess I have not seen your version, but I can honestly say, and the edits above prove it, I put this together myself for this video. I started working on it right after he made the shot in the days to come. you can look back at my post on the gamethread asking for wheels' radio brodcast to plug that part in. here is a pic of one of the autosave files from my project.

all in all, here is the whole timeline so you can see all my edits.

Hey, I don't want you to get the wrong idea. Everybody here loves what you do, so keep doing it. I didn't mean to come across like I was cracking on you. I was just curious.
