A different Denny said in this thread he was dubious of this claim.
I wish I could find the whole video. This isn't the original one I saw before the election. He also said it in an interview that was broadcast on the radio.
There are many Dennys. Some claim to be Libertarian. Others are rabid fans of the guy who wants to pour money into pointless things like a giant wall, combat free trade like no president of either party in generations and massively expand the military. There's no way these could be the same guy.

I don't think he was talking about her. It's not clear he was saying illegals should vote. He was talking to the woman who is legal saying "you should vote" (roughly).
I don't think he was talking about her.
She was talking about "undocumented citizens" not herself.I do.
So he was answering a question that she didn't ask? This agrees with what I saw. Note the black bolded text - he's telling latinos who have undocumented family members to go out and vote (for their benefit).
She is worried if SHE votes if immigration might come for her family who might be undocumented.

RODRIGUEZ: Many of the millennials, Dreamers, undocumented citizens -- and I call them citizens because they contribute to this country -- are fearful of voting. So if I vote, will immigration know where I live? Will they come for my family and deport us?
OBAMA: Not true. And the reason is, first of all, when you vote, you are a citizen yourself. And there is not a situation where the voting rolls somehow are transferred over and people start investigating, et cetera. The sanctity of the vote is strictly confidential in terms of who you voted for. If you have a family member who maybe is undocumented, then you have an even greater reason to vote.
RODRIGUEZ: This has been a huge fear presented especially during this election.
OBAMA: And the reason that fear is promoted is because they don't want people voting. People are discouraged from voting and part of what is important for Latino citizens is to make your voice heard, because you're not just speaking for yourself. You're speaking for family members, friends, classmates of yours in school...
RODRIGUEZ: Your entire community.
OBAMA: ... who may not have a voice. Who can't legally vote. But they're counting on you to make sure that you have the courage to make your voice heard.
So he was answering a question that she didn't ask?
I don't know how you think he was taking about her.He answered her question.
Legit hispanic voters are afraid to vote IF their voter registration allows government to go to their house and find their family members that may be undocumented. The undocumented family members are afraid if their legal family members vote, they'll get busted.
Obama is telling her that since she's legal, she should go vote. The government doesn't share the voter registration with other agencies that deal with immigration.
I don't see anything wrong with encouraging people who are eligible to vote to actually go and vote.
It seems a little awkward at most.
I'm not exactly a big fan of Obama's policies, but on this one I don't find any fault.
I don't know how you think he was taking about her.
I can't tell if you're being serious. He said, "WHEN YOU VOTE."
YOU is "her." That's who he was talking to and about.
Undocumented citizens are fearful of voting.
Why would she be fearful of immigration deporting her, if she's legal?
Illegal immigrants should be fearful of voting. The same way that they should be fearful of breaking any other law.Since Trump ended up being elected I would say their fears were justified.
So when she said "us" she was talking about herself as well?I means herself.
Undocumented citizens are afraid of voting. Not the act of voting themselves, but voting in general.
Both those legit and undocumented are afraid of the legit voters voting.
The President when asked about "undocumented" immigrants voting should tell them to vote in their home country where they belong.Illegal immigrants should be fearful of voting. The same way that they should be fearful of breaking any other law.
Ha! That reminds me of this scene from Training Day.How can you investigate fraud if you don't commit it?
The talk about registration in two places doesn't matter unless the person votes twice.
et another is dead people who were registered, somehow voting.
