No he is not. He is playing well, but he hasn't shown anything that suggests he can play in a meaningful NBA game.

He's shown the ability to stop dribble penetration by the #3 pick in the draft when 1 on 1. He's shown the ability to deny this kids entry pass, and the contest at the rim with arms up while when the ball was rotated. He's shown passing ability.
You're pretty off.

Quick is hitting send faster than me.... :breakdance:

Neither of this 'bigs' is an offensive go-to guy on his own. But they could both be nice with some decent guard play and off of others who create double-teams. That was always the way it was with Collins and I see that with Biggie as well.

That's the thing with this entire summer league roster. None of these guys are anything more than future role players.

So I can only assume you're not watching the game, because BiggE is showing pro-ready ability.

I'm not seeing it yet. He can grab boards, but he doesn't have much offensive game. You have to think that the competition is going to become more difficult by 10x in the regular season. If simply being a hustle player was enough to succeed in the NBA, there would be a lot more hustle players. He's pretty slow. I don't see much foot speed. Vonleh dominated summer league.

I wasn't. I saw a huge fucking project that baffled me as to why we took him with a lottery pick.

If he's contributing in 3 years, I'll be surprised.
Him only playing 17 mpg had me a bit worried, kinda seemed he was used as the sub to come in and wreck the bench squads of the basketball powerhouse that is the WCC.

ROFL after some of these ticky tack fouls we've been called for, THAT was not even a foul on Boston? WTF, refs? I know it's just summer league but damn.

Colins is just so weak, Brown bodied him defending him in the post

I'm not saying he's going to start, I am saying he's showing nba ready transferable skills that will get him minutes in the league.
These things are very obvious.

Pat opens the 2nd half with a turnover....sigh.

Since I wasn't expecting much from Collins this season, I'm not worried about his performance in the games.

I was, however, impressed with Caleb. His game isn't based on being more talented, taller or faster, but going balls to the wall.

I still think (hope) Collins will end up having a better career, but I wouldn't be surprised if Caleb has the better rookie year. Course, it is a wee bit early to make any real declarations for either.

Biggie with a good look at the rim but can't finish. He is really struggling to finish over players his size in two games so far.

I also think Collins is in his own head, hopefully not Meyers type mental but at least he knew after last nights game he did bad unlike Meyers who completely avoids responsibility of his play

I look at Layman and Connaughton and I just have to wonder what anyone saw that made them think "NBA player!"

Brown was guarding LeBron in the ECF a couple of months ago, he's no slouch. Obviously LeBron had his way with him, but that's not the point. He's a good defender.

Hunter is only good at one thing: looking to score.

Ante Zizic....with a name like that, he should be an All Star in the next two years.

If this was the early 1970's, both men would be stars.

Jake "shoot 1000 threes a day and brick them when they matter" Layman
