"I love the way he controls the pace of the game. Makes great decisions out there, can shoot the ball. Really great guard to play with. A special guard." - Larry Sanders on Damian Lillard

For anyone who cares, it started again from the top just now. Same link posted above works.

Just got home from work. Can finaly watch it

Mike Tokito @mtokito
We got a good long look at scrimmages today. Damian Lillard looks really good.

You have to click that "close" button.

But they're not even showing the action. It's just Dennis Scott and this other douche talking. They haven't shown any basketball since I tuned in.
Must be on "NBATV"? Fucking amateurs. Why they choose to show the talking heads on the screen during the game, instead of the game, is mind boggling, and it really pisses me off.

I am growing to hate NBA-TV producers and their contempt for the game of basketball. Because they are bored with the game, they think that viewers are the same, and tune in to watch interviews during games.

My eyes are more drawn to the dude in the background who's four feet off the ground. Perfectly timed photo.

Naw, if he extends his legs he's only a half foot off the ground.

Seriously. Did you see the SL game where they interviewed some Russian scout? WhyTheFuck did they think it was so important to fill the screen with his ugly face, instead of the game? Interview him, OK, if you feel you must, but I don't want to be forced to look at his giant head while the game is going on. Jeezus it's just common sense. They did the same thing every freaking game. And then of course, there was the press conference to announce "news" that everyone knew months ago, that took up an entire quarter of the game I tuned in to watch. It's incompetent and inexcusable.

I'm watching this and I might change the channel if David Aldridge says 'mmmhmmm' one more time.

Barrett & Rice used to do Blazer Summer League. Lately it's been NBA-TV. The former consumed most of a quarter with a super-boring GM interview. At first they did this in only 1 game in the series, for half a quarter, and I hated it. Each year it became more games, and more of the quarter. For the last couple of years, NBA-TV has done it. They waste a full quarter, every single fucking game.

The NBA-TV guys do several games each day. They're tired and bored. The Blazers are not their home team. This year, even during the 3 quarters without an interview, Sam Mitchell bullshitted about his basketball philosophies for 10 minutes at a time, right through many exciting plays.

This is worse than it would be in the regular season because then, we know all our players, and also recognize many players on the other team. So we can live without play-by-play, although we'd rather not. But in Summer League, we have trouble recognizing who just did what, while the commentators refuse to do their jobs. They abandon us when we need them the most.

And if his first few days at the Team USA mini-camp in Las Vegas are any indication, Lillard's goal of improving defensively is well underway. From hard closeouts on shooters like Dion Waiters to stout, post-position-denying defense on Harrison Barnes, Lillard has shown the capability to be a much better defender than he was during his rookie season. While some of that can be chalked up to playing alongside the best young players in the league in Las Vegas, Lillard deserves credit for taking it upon himself to put in the extra effort required to improve defensively.

Damian will be better defensively this year by just getting more calls his way. As he alludes to in this article, early on in the season he backed off because he was picking up fouls. Later in the season...not as many. Rookies get picked on, plain and simple. He will play more aggressively this season, no doubt.

Great point. Repped.

Without looking it up and re-reading it, I thought he said he was backing off to avoid the foul, and the bitch-ass refs were calling the foul anyway, then when he said fuck it and stopped trying to avoid the inevitable foul, and bodied up on guys, they let him play more physical. To the aggressor go the spoils.

Have to like @Dame_Lillard's chances of playing a lot of minutes in tomorrow's scrimmage. The most "true" PG on the team.

I dont understand why some youtube videos dont show and only the link when you use the video attach button if anyone knows?

Anyway, odd music choice but Im was impressed how far out Anthony Davis dunked from and then there is a little Dame action at the end.

It's something youtube added.... their link has an "s" that needs to be taken out for the video to show up. So it will say "https" and it needs to say "http"
