Way too early observations

His contract is not eeasy to move...I don't see any real advantage to moving him..free agents don't sign here and he's the best PF on the roster.
I'm not sure that's true. He makes Simons look like prime Magic Johnson in terms of willingness to pass, and he barely rebounds. I think when he's locked in he's pretty good, but he is very, VERY far from that this year.

At this point of the season a waving towel would out coach Billups.

Things to improve on:

Brogdon - stop dribbling the air out of the ball. He holds onto his dribble for too long and he needs to move the ball quicker.

Camara - I have noticed a few times that he fumbles the ball often. Gotta work on those butter fingers.

Jabari - stop trying to force it on a fast break. Move the ball.

Ayton - Demand the ball more.

Scoot - start taking more of those middies. Stop deferring so much. The mid rangers are there and he's passing them up.

Grant - pass the ball

Thybulle - contribute.... do something.... anything.

Shaedon - pretty happy so far. Maybe assert yourself more.

RGIII - I don't have anything at this point.

Wasn't it just 3 games ago you were saying Brogdon was the best player on the team?

Joe said the three rooks were not the average rooks, they are ready win now players. He either like to over sell his moves or doesn't have a clue about hiw far along rookies are in the process. Olshey did it too, that’s probably where he got it. Needs to tone the embellishment. Im sure he will after this year.

I’d love to watch a GM interview where he’s sat next to the three rookies at the presser, and then just says “Look, our franchise is fucked. Look at the children. They’re scared, they’re talentless, they’re just fucking god awful. And they were the best I knew how to pick! We’re fucked but it’s okay! I get paid either way.”

The lineup I really want to see on the floor:

Scoot
Sharpe
Camara
Walker
Ayton

I think that team could do some work. Sharpe and Camara have to be hitting their threes though, with Ayton and Walker chipping in.

Why do you think they won't trade Grant? Because they can't?
Portland has only one legit NBA rotation level or better forward on their roster. Why in the world are you aching for them to have none? The hype about the 2o24 draft prospects is very underwhelming at this point.

Scoot can't shoot. Simple as that.
unfortunate but currently true. Glad to see you come around. Hopefully he's open to addressing the shortcomings of his stroke. Shaedon's J form would be perfect for him to emulate.

My way too early observation is that Shae has closed the majority of the gap between he and Jalen Green. Although it’s been a small sample size, we’ve seen HUGE improvement. I was saying early last season that I’m excited to see Shae with a full offseason under his belt, because it was going to be a good indicator on what we can expect with his development. We’re now seeing the result of his offseason training. Jalen, on the other hand, looks the same as he did as a rookie.

You still haven't answered my question.
I still think he’s probably a better overall player than Simons. But Simons played one game and now he’s hurt so it’s hard to compare them, no?

But Sharpe is quickly climbing the charts. I think he could be the best player on the roster by the end of the year. If not sooner.

Maybe too early but I'm preparing to eat Chauncey crow if tonight is Chauncey ball...98-91 is like a Larry Brown Pistons final score. I loved the defense tonight. We have some unselfish players that are starting to show signs of being an actual basketball team!

Scoot will have to work on his shooting for sure. From what I've heard he will work hard. I'm pretty confident he will improve in time.

lol.....just a we are very glad to have them here and we look forward to their progress as NBA players.

By the end of the season these probably will even out a bit? I’m thinking Ayton has a bit of an advantage playing on a much poorer team. This is classic empty stats situation. Phoenix might make it to the finals.

I really don’t think Phoenix will. That team is just very poorly constructed. You can’t just throw random stars together and expect them to work.

When those stars include Durant and Booker you can.
