While I think Green should have been suspended, I agree with those who say they are (almost) glad he wasn't. No excuses, they can't say they got stomped because they were missing a player. They may say that this mess, waiting to hear, all the attention, was a distraction. But the Warriors have only themselves to blame. Green openly said he likes being the villain, the guy who gets booed, it motivates him. His dirty play, flopping, whining have been going on for much longer than this postseason. But in the regular season a team plays an opponent once and moves on. In playoffs they play at least four games, all nationally televised and analyzed six ways to Sunday, so the behavior is more noticeable. But he has not changed. This is what he's like. The Warriors have enabled his behavior, from front office to coaching staff to teammates to local broadcast and print media.
