And again, it is Westbrook leading the way. Telling his coach to "take him out" in plain sight on national TV is NOT the action of a team player, or a leader. He totally threw Kanter under the bus in the second quarter of a game that would end up being a blow out win. That action destroyed team unity. Teams win championships. Selfish, me-first assholes don't

BNM

Ah, I started watching mid way through the 3rd and missed that. Looks like Kanter was the only + Thunder last night. He was +15 and shot 4/5.

They were beating the Warriors with "big ball"

Perhaps this will open the door for a Kanter trade.

As much as I'd like Durant to leave OKC high and dry, I DON'T want him to go to the Lakers or Spurs. God that would piss me off. If that's the outcome I'd rather he continue his futile career in Hicksville.

Yeah, one will win scoring titles, one will win championships....we're still waiting on that KP

I'll laugh if Olshey trades for Kanter. I prayed OKC would match when Olshey made that offer last year. A year later, with the cap going up, IDK anymore. Yeah our interior defense would still suck. But with Dame & CJ in the backcourt, Meyers & Kanter in the front court, and Aminu or Harkless or Crabbe on the wing, shit that team would score buckets. Honestly, I'd pay to see that. ;)

Might have been true if Oden (and Roy) had stayed healthy. An Oden/Roy/Aldridge/Batum team could have been a serious title contender for a decade.

But, well, yeah.

Or we could pair Kanter with a defensive specialist at center. His offense is so superb.

So that "take him out" incident happened in game 4. I thought the Thunder's Adams/Kanter lineup was really working.

Anyway, Billy Donvan had this to say about it:
"I’ve tried to foster that kind of stuff because I think what happens a lot of times with players is a lot of times it may be, I don’t want them to feel like they can’t come to me,” Donovan said.

Now NBA coaches can't even talk. This is the way a 7th grader would speak. I think what happens a lot of times with players is a lot of times it may be I don't want them to feel like they can't come to me?!?!

NBA should modify the replay rule, so that if they are looking at an out of bounds call, and they are going to reverse the call on the floor, but replay clearly shows a foul caused the ball to go out of bounds, they should not reverse the call.
Yeah there's a real disconnect between how out of bounds is used as a game management tool versus how the letter of the rule is stated.

If OKC wins game 7 it would be even better than if the Oakland Nuts-Kickers lost in 5, but that so unlikely to happen.

This will be an easy win for Warriors I reckon, if there's one team in the league who completely crumble under pressure and are completely incapable of winning close games when it matters most, it's the Thunder. I still prefer Thunder to go through.

I wonder how different would people's take on Warriors be if they did not have Green? Personally I find both him and Bogut the only two players I truly dislike, in Green's case I can probably say I hate him. I don't really like Curry either but he's not quite as hateable. Thompson is a bit bland, I don't mind him, he's the sort of player I forget exists after the game is over.

Summed it up pretty well for me.

KD going for 50, putting away the "unreliable" tag, and OKC wins by double digits.

Home court is really about game 7. There is advantage any time but in game 7 it's huge. Home team is something like 100-24 in game 7. OKC may rue the game 6 for a long time.

Forgive me for that but....

LET'S GO THUNDER CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP

Just found out me and Billy Donavan have the same birthday. I like him.
