Assuming the picks are in the 18-22 range (NO and Portland), it's not that big of a loss, IMO. Especially when you consider that Paul Allen has never flinched at buying a first-round pick if the right player is available.

Essentially my position. If a first round pick isn't in the top ten, it's not that consequential to me. And made even less so due to, as you mention, Allen's willingness to buy first round picks.
