OT We made it?

My thinking is if you can find a flat skin that we all like, I'll use that as the basis for the custom themes instead of using the stock xenforo one.

I basically inherited a S2 theme from the default one and tweaked it. Then I inherit the blazers theme from the S2 one and tweak that one. In theory, I can edit the default s2 theme to make changes throughout all the child themes.

I have no ego about this. What I know is people never complained about the old vb4 forum skin. And they did complain about the blue default S2 one I made - because it's blue not red :)

When you are putting the official Blazer banner back on the top of the page?
 
Working wtih TJ on that one.

With the old top bit, it's not responsive. It messes up the forum display on the phone.

The words, "Official Fan Forum of the Portland Trail Blazers" should be someone on the new banner.
 
What the hell is up with the Staff Online box? I want to be invisible, dammit. People don't need to know when I'm skulking about. I'm Batman!

When are you going to put the twitter feed box up? That should go where the staff online box is. People care about that, they don't care about knowing which of the forum overlords are online.
 
I'm not sure about this "Well known member" title. Weird Cousin Eddie was a well known member of the Griswald clan, but that didn't mean you want to hang with him.

You can edit your user title in your preferences.

"It's not even loaded!"
 
When you click the RC2 banner at the top of the page it takes you to the s2 home page instead of the RC2 page.
 
If it were me I'd just try two or three of the most likely themes and let people vote on the one they like the most.

Hell, I'd probably just try a half dozen and forget the voting. You don't really know if you'll like a theme until you really try to use it. That's my experience, anyway, with Wordpress, BigCommerce and Volusion template systems. I suspect it's the same here.
 
Yeah, I know I've nitpicked a lot here but overall this is a massive upgrade in functionality. Nice job!
 
I know zip about this software stuff but Denny..seeing as Ripcity2 is the official board for the Blazers you might want to put a link here to their homepage
 
I'm working with the Blazers guys right now to get their links and header going. It messes up on the phone due to the small screen width.
 
There is all this paperwork I have to do now when it comes to banning people. Before it was one click and poof! They're gone. Now it is check this box, fill this out, state reason why, check this other box. It's really taking the fun out of it.

Good thing you only do that once every 10 years or so. I hope it's much harder to unban folks.
 
This probably isn't super important to anyone else, and it's also possible someone else has already mentioned it, but with those caveats:

I used the 'show posts in reverse chronological order' preference on the old site and I really miss it / haven't found the corresponding setting here.

Can you drop the codlin period between posts a bit? Like by 15 seconds? I was up against the limit in the Game Thread tonight.

I think it's to prevent people from flooding a thread with a gazillion posts in a row really fast. I don't see that we have that problem. If we do, I say we deal with it then.

Maybe because with the live updating it tends to get laggy :cool:
