Crabbe is now shooting .353 3FG% - league average is .363.

I predicted his scoring would increase, but his scoring efficiency would take a significant hit. But even I didn't think it would be this bad.

The ONE thing he did well, he now does below average. Funny how hard is it for a guy who can't create his own shot to get wide open looks when he's not playing next to guys like Dame and C.J.

I watched the Nets the other day at work and Crabbe played most of the game....9pts 2 rebounds 2 assists....2 for 11 shooting....the guy is as overpaid as it gets...needs serious B vitamin injection

Now just imagine if we had a legit player like Evan Fournier in the Connaughton/Crabbe role...

Someone find a Nets forum and get some quotes about Allen Crabbe. I bet they hate that pickup.

I'm warming up to the fact that Pat Connaughton is better than folks project....dude has a motor and puts defense first..starting to appreciate what he brings to the game.

As I mentioned in two other threads today, and have been mentioning for over a year, I'd gladly take Courtney Lee at $12 million a year over Crabbe at $19 million. Lee can create his own shot, is currently shooting .422 3FG% and is leading the league in FT% at .961.

I was touting Connaughton as a Crabbe replacement at this time last year and was practically laughed out of the forum.

I miss the "Crabbe is great / Crabbe is crap" debates. Crabbe ending that debate once and for all is just one more thing I can blame him for.

Yep, Crabbe's play has settled that debate once and for all.

What happened to the poster that predicted Crabbe would average 20/6/4 and make the Eastern Conference All Star team? He was the one telling the rest of us we'd be eating crow.

At the time, I half-jokingly said Crabbe would need to average 56 minutes per game in BRK to achieve those numbers. Turns out I was pretty close. At his current level of production, he'd need to play 50 MPG to average 20 PPG, 40 MPG to average 6 RPG and 72 MPG to average 4 APG. Add those up and divide by 3 and you get 54 MPG.

Im with you guys. But I think think we miss a shooter. I'm rooting for mirotic now

I'm back on the Courtney Lee bandwagon. More consistent shooter than Crabbe that can also create his own shot and doesn't suck at defense. Basically gives us everything Crabbe did, plus more, at 2/3 the cost.

I'm not opposed to bringing back Gerald Henderson at that spot when his rehab is over..I like his game and leadership

I get what the OP was trying to say: we miss the idea of Crabbe. That is, a wing with good size, who could create offense with his shot and provide good defense.

That was never Crabbe, but it's what we kept hoping he'd become. Some people kept projecting that image onto Crabbe even after it was clear he couldn't fulfill it. We definitely do need that kind of player more than anything.
