Do we really need another 9/11 to get it through americans heads. 6 years later, and all people are doing is taking things for granted again, and not only that, think the war is bad and we should bring our troops home. So if we bring them home, I guarantee you, the terrorists will strike again, and then you will be calling for them to go back in.

Who the hell unbanned you? You should be permanently be banned for this topic. Sickening.

So you want thousands and thousands of more innocent people killed so some people who are taking our freedom for granted will not anymore? That's dumb.

OMG. You guys are not reading the message......The fact is you want out of the war, but since we been in there we have not been attacked. We pull out of the war like people want, there will be another terror strike, and then people will want to go back in.

Read the topic title you inserted.

No... We don't need another 9/11 at all... that was one of the worst days in history and it shouldnt be repeated even if people are taking things for granted...

Do you know how many tips the government gets of terrorist attacks? Do you how many terrorist are caught every week? It's not the war, it's our higher level of security.

We definitely do not another 9/11. Are you crazy?? Hundreds of people died because of it and you want more to die just because people are taking things for granted.... Wake up. People will always take things for granted and nothing will ever change that. And of course, a lot of people think war is bad because a lot of our soldiers are dying over there but we can't really do anything about it. I mean, I want our soldiers to come home too but only when it's time for them to come home, not when we're in the middle of a war.Besides, terrorism will always exist in the world and one way or another, they will do whatever they intend to do because nobody will be able to predict when they'll strike again. And if they are stopped, they'll just keep trying until they accomplish what they set out to do.

Lemme change the topic title.... I meant "Do you need another 9/11 to get it through your head?"that is better

That's the most idiotic way of getting people to support the war again. What we really needs is laws against slanderous remarks towards the government during wartime. Having another 9/11 is not going to help anything, and it's pretty appalling someone would want that just so the country would support the war again...

Most of the effectiveness is because there hasn't been a well-planned effort on most terrorist attempts in the US, and the security in US has been increased since 2001. It has absolutely nothing to do with the War on Iraq.

Kb_24, you don't really know what you are talking about. Seems like your views are probably from one of your parents, and you disect your thinking from that. Most of my views are conservative, and I support the troops. But you are going about this very wrong. Another 9/11? Are you f*cking serious?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Lemme change the topic title.... I meant "Do you need another 9/11 to get it through your head?"that is better</div>Don't even go there man... You have blatently said "we need another 9/11" so dont change your story that you didnt mean it... cos even if you didnt... you should still be thinking before you stay stupid sh*t like that... fucks sake... can you get any stupid... there is probably people on this forum who are directly linked to the 9/11 attacks and possibly they have lost people in the attacks... how do you think that will make them feel when you say something like "we need another 9/11"... get real man

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (KobeBryant_24 @ Jul 24 2007, 07:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>If we pull out, or if Hilary Clinton becomes president, we are F*cked</div>How are we F*cked? The War in Iraq is similar to Vietman and Korea IMO. We are in there to set up the government we want there, even though it's really none of our business. We aren't really making any progress, and in the meantime, many young soldiers are losing their lives (such as my brother). In the end, when it's over, it could very well end up being like Vietnam and Korea in which the government goes right back to the way they were before we even got there.

KB24 you realize what your saying right. Your saying you think we need to have another huge attack by terrorists now to prevent an attack in the future. God your an idiot.

We do NOT need another 9/11, we don't need anything similar to 9/11. Too many innocent people died. Sure enough in this War we are killing tons of their innocent people as well, suggesting something like 9/11 re-occur is just retarded. Americans may be taking things for granted but 9/11 changed so many peoples lives negatively that I can almost guarantee it's not as bad as before. What we need is another President or something. 2008 needs to hurry up and get here.

lmfao your a straight up homo...you dont even know sh*t no one that I know who opposes the war doesn't want to get rid of terrorists - we want to get rid of troops getting killed in Iraq when we are in Iraq trying to set up a central government...

This material is even more stupid than PFF's daily material.

to seriously answer this question. I don't think so. There is nothing wrong for the people in America to begin living their normal lives. It would be worse if we were scared every second, just waiting for the bad news, and not doing anything else.

I knew this would happen.... this is why I should just keep my opinions to myself about the war....What I am trying to say, just to make myself clear, and I HOPE you guys can stop jumping to a conclusion on this....So many people are against the war right now, but if another terrorist attack happened, they would realize that we need to be in the war. I am not in any way hoping another attack does occur, I am just saying that is what would happen. And if we do pull out, then our chances of being attacked increase dramatically, and if we do get attacked after we pull out, people will be screaming why did we pull the troops out, send them back! That is the point I am trying to get across. I really messed up on my choice of words and topic title because it was just an opinion I had when I saw all the protestors today on TV. I do not in anyway want us to get attacked again, I am just trying to get my point across that we need to be over there killing those bastards. Next time, I will try not to sound like I am an ignorant s.o.b. Re-reading my topic, I would assume the same to someonelse who wrote this, my fault. But the point above is the one I was trying to make.

It's because of increased and enhanced security since 9/11. The government gets tips all the time on possible terrorist attacks, and once they do strike, the government is able to stop it. If anything, being in the war makes the Nation more vulnerable for terrorist attacks, because a lot of our focus is towards the troops, while if the troops weren't fighting the war, we would have more focus on our Nation's safety.
