A lot has been made about some of LeBron's recent comments. He says Cleveland needs a "playmaker." By that he doesn't necessarily mean star, but just someone else they can somewhat rely on other than the big 3.

I'm not even suggesting Lillard or CJ...I feel like someone like Crabbe or even Mason could be great for them. Mason has grown on me a lot and has really turned into a great passer. A backup center with that skillset would be perfect on Cleveland. With Shumpert's regression and also JR Smith's future uncertain, I feel like another deadly shooter in Crabbe is something they may be looking for as well. "Deadly" is obviously generous, but on a great team Crabbe would be so much better.

I would at least make the call if I was in charge. You never know. They have the highest payroll ever and are in win-now mode.

We already own their first round pick this year. What exactly do they have that you want?

The bulls are in disarray, I listened to ESPN radio tonight and Nick Friedel, the bulls correspondent, made it sound like Butler could be moved. A package with CJ for Butler?

YeAh. What are we getting back in the deal? Even if we got Love, I think they're winning the deal.
Truthfully I'm not very knowledgable about the NBA cap and how it works. But if it's possible we could rid ourselves of a bad contract or two, i'd accept "losing" a deal on paper. I think we have too many of the same player so if we lost a guy like Crabbe or whoever I don't think we'd be that much worse off.

Wade and Butler called out the entire team last night and then today Rondo made a instagram post talking about how they were in the wrong and a bunch of players "liked" it. The wheels are definitely falling off there and that experiment hasnt worked out.

Lets get RoLo back in Portland!

If they're in disarray, why do we have to give up CJ for Butler? Can we get him for Turner or Crabbe?
That would be sweet, but it usually takes something to get something. I would think they wouldn't trade him just to trade him, but Paxson and Gar Foreman haven't done a good job recently, so maybe they would.

You just contradicted yourself.

Sometimes I wish KingSpeed were an NBA GM, just to see how many GMs would block his number and how quickly.

"Hello? Yes, I've heard you guys are going through a little turmoil. Yeah, sounds bad. Anyway, I have some garbage. Would you like it? I can let you have it for Jimmy Butler. You're kidding. Honestly, you really can't ask for much more, you're in disarray. ...Hello?"

If you could make the dollars work, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to trade our role players for their future picks. They're bound to be awful when the LeBron joy ride ends.

Why should help Cleveland again because Lebron crying again about not get run on another championship. I am glade there owner and GM put him in his place. Now after the season ends if Lebron didn't get his will he be on the move. Will it be the Clippers with Paul and maybe Melo.

Do we still have the rights to Playmaker007? I'd be willing to trade him.

Rondo could be the playmaker for the Cavs. He's relatively big and a good defender so he could also play alongside Kyrie and MCW I think could be the future for the Bulls while Rondo could help the Cavs win now. Another player not mentioned in this thread is Carmelo Anthony. Not sure how one trade includes all of the above but I think there could be some interesting dealing going on

Plumlee and Napier for a 2023 unprotected pick and a 2024 right to swap? Hmm.

Here's a prediction:

Clippers get:
Carmelo Anthony
Justin Holiday (trade exception from CJ Wilcox)

Knicks Get:
Austin Rivers
Wesley Johnson
Paul Pierce (Who gets rerouted to the Celtics for James Young and Demetrius Jackson)
Brice Johnson
2018 Right to Swap
2021 LAC Unprotected 1st

You think Doc lets his son get shipped away?

That would be on Doc due he is also handles the player personal. So if his son get traded it be Doc trading him.

Thats what I'm saying

Yep, but he's also the head coach of a VERY old team that is in win now mode. I posted yesterday that of the 14 players on the Clippers roster, 11 of them are older than our oldest player.

This may be his last chance to try to win it all (or at least advance beyond the second round) with the CP3/Blake/DeAndre core. They are definitely a couple steps behind GSW and SAS. Personally, I don't think Carmelo pushes them over the top, but if Doc does, I'm sure he'd be willing to trade his son for a shot an another ring.

That would suck for his son (if they go one to win a ring without him), but his dad basically rescued his career by pulling him off the scrap heap when no one else wanted him. He's improved a lot since he was traded to the Clipps, but at the time he flat out sucked ass. He'd probably be playing in China right now if not for his dad.
