Anybody else stunned by how bad Webster looked against the Celts? The guy has got to be the most unpredictable, inconsistent headcase in the NBA. If you don't get him the ball behind the 3-point line with enough time to shoot, he's completely clueless. He has no idea how to do anything else besides shoot 3-pointers--and even then he misses a lot of them by a mile.

I say he should start sitting on the bench until he gets his act together, or just ship him back to D-League, where he should probably play for the rest of his career.

We should send our whole team to the DL then. They had a bad game, it happens.

I don't think he should be starting, but saying he should go to the DL is just stupid.

Isn't there a bridge somewhere near you that you could jump off?

1. You can't send him back to the d-league. 2. Against the Celtics he had a stomach virus.
3. There was absolutely no attempt whatsoever in that game to attempt to get him the ball. 4. If Martell should go based on that game, Roy should go with him. I think not.

Then I guess we should send Rudy back to Europe. He played worse that Webster last night, is even more inconsistent, and has had fewer productive games than Webster this season. Other the the Clippers game, all of our guards have pretty much sucked recently.

Rudy February:
5 PTS, 1/7 shooting, 0/4 3FG
15 PTS, 5/10 shooting, 3/6 3FG (Clippers game)
0 PTS, 0/1 shooting
0 PTS, 0/6 shooting, 0/6 3FG
7 PTS, 2/6 shooting, 2/4 3FG
10 PTS, 4/10 shooting, 0/6 3FG
7 PTS, 1/5 shooting, 1/3 3FG
11 PTS, 4/9 shooting 2/6 3FG
February Averages: 6.9 PPG, 0.315 FG%, 0.229 3FG%

Martell February:
4 PTS, 1/5 shooting, 1/4 3FG
28 PTS, 9/13 shooting, 7/11 3FG (Clippers game)
10 PTS, 5/7 shooting, 0/1 3FG
3 PTS, 1/4 shooting, 1/4 3FG
2 PTS, 1/7 shooting, 0/4 3FG
21 PTS, 6/7 shooting, 5/5 3FG
20 PTS, 8/17 shooting, 3/9 3FG
10 PTS, 3/8 shooting 2/6 3FG
February Averages: 12.3 PPG, 0.486 FG%, 0.432 3FG%

Martell also had a better January than Rudy:

Martell January Averages: 15.5 PPG, 0.432 FG%, 0.389 3FG%
Rudy January Averages: 9.5 PPG, 0.364 FG%, 0.349 3FG%

and people say i start bad threads....

is this a joke?

I've been over Martell 'breaking out' for a couple of years now. He is what he and that is a very streaky shooter who has gone from mediocre specialist, to somewhat versatile shooter/wing defender. There are shit loads of guys just like him around the league; it's nothing unique.

Martell is rocking, not only filling the stat sheets but doing all the extra things that make a team successful.

But some people can't see the forest for the trees.

Sometimes there's just no forest to be seen.

That is the cock-gobblers real name.

Alright, I've seen enough of this shit and can't bite my tongue any longer. How do we expect a SHOOTER like Marty to have a good game when we are not trying to even get him open? The entire fucking offense was dumping it into LA and having the other 4 do nothing but stand around. We didn't run Marty off of any screens through the baseline, not even a back pick to free him up. If we had more of a movement-based offense he would flourish, but hard for shooters to perform well in an isolation based offense where the only looks he gets is in transition.

:dunno: This is why it amazes me that some people fragged Outlaw, while proclaiming Webster a budding star. He just isn't that good! If the team dealt Webster this summer and re-signed Outlaw, I wouldn't be the least unhappy. Neither are consistent enough to be starters on a contender - and Outlaw can at least create shots for himself. When the offense bogs down, Webster is pretty much helpless.

Web's intangibles are a solid addition to this team. And he was sick the other night, cut some slack, bro.

Once again, Webster looked pathetic against the Jazz. But hey, he's got potential!!!

Blazers built their 25 point lead (from 10) while he was in the game!

He went out and they were up by 19...then it turned......
