webster might be the key to our season assuming we dont trade for a real SF. we wont cause kp has no balls.
but yah... if webster could hit 2 threes a night (avg about 8-10 points a night and play just solid defense.... we should be fine.![]()
The facts are when a shooter teams up with a center that attracts a double team before he even touches the ball, it makes the shooter that much better. Martell was teamed with Joel on the 2nd unit. He is teamed with Oden on the first. Much better looks for him, much better spacing for the offense.
At times, I'd like to see Blake, Rudy, Martell, LMA, and Oden on the floor together. Talk about spacing the floor!

A real SF? What do you think we need? Some dude that is going to take a bunch of shots away from Roy/Oden/Aldridge? No. We need someone that can keep the defense honest, rebound and play solid defense. In the games that Webster has seen solid minutes, he's done all of those things. We're straight.
Like I've said in the past. Consistent minutes will result in consistent production. I thought it was hilarious that people wrote him off as a 22 year old.

IMO, he went from dud to...
...dud
But a consistent one.
And that's what doomed Channing. Nate just seems to do that to young players.
But I think he can probably play to his modest talent level off the bench once Batum returns.
