I am a big fan of Webs, just want him to consistently produce for us. We don't need him to score, but be a hustle guy on the floor. He's doing it, just keep it up.

The facts are when a shooter teams up with a center that attracts a double team before he even touches the ball, it makes the shooter that much better. Martell was teamed with Joel on the 2nd unit. He is teamed with Oden on the first. Much better looks for him, much better spacing for the offense.

I don't know if anybody else has noticed lately, but it appears that a new wrinkle into the offense is that Aldridge plays the "Stretch" PF. It is giving the team better spacing, lots of open looks.

A real SF? What do you think we need? Some dude that is going to take a bunch of shots away from Roy/Oden/Aldridge? No. We need someone that can keep the defense honest, rebound and play solid defense. In the games that Webster has seen solid minutes, he's done all of those things. We're straight.

Yep look at Bruce Bowen. He only averaged like 9 pts a night in his best year. But the thing was, out of the few shots he took, he took them within the flow of the offense and hit that at a high efficiency so that the opposition could not double team Timmy D. That is what is important.

In games that he played more than 20 min he's avg. 11 ppg. If you've actually watched the games and understand basketball you would see that he plays solid defense and brings tons of energy to whatever lineup he's put into. I'm not saying he's been spectacular but to say he's a "dud" is just dumb. What do I know though, just read the boxscores and base your opinion off that.

I am one of the people who has been hard on Webs in the past. My mind is not fully changed, but it is changing. Forget about the box score for a moment, I have been most improved with the hustle out of Webs lately. He really seems to be working on O and D and that has been helping everyone on the team. Everyone does not have to be a star, but if Webs is able to turn into a solid starter with a team mentality, he will be very valuable to the Blazers. Congrats Webs, you are changing minds.

I would like to have the rest of the year before I make up my mind about Webs. A full year of starting should be telling at this point.

For where he was picked, he's still a definite "dud." But that doesn't mean he's worthless. I think he's essentially a decent reserve, in terms of quality. Of course, if he has trouble playing off the bench, that's sort of a major flaw for a reserve-quality player. But I think he can probably play to his modest talent level off the bench once Batum returns.

He's neither a stud nor a dud. It's possible that he will continue to hit enough shots to be useful in the starting lineup and I don't think it's a guarantee that he relinquishes his starting spot to Batum when Nic returns.
